I know they (the players) aren't complaining, because they're not whiners, unlike their online fans. But the online fans don't have any evidence, and the word of players who were in the contest and obviously biased (even unintentionally) doesn't count for crap.

As for the Bills, they have no reason to admit it. They'll see it, but them admitting it would get them a lot more negative attention than they want.

Of course I don't, just like you can't look at the coaches' tape and prove that the players are wrong. And the ref is standing a hell of a lot closer than any camera, which makes him missing it worse.

No, probably not. But when you (and not just you) come here and complain about the other team getting unfair breaks, maybe it would be wise to think of those other penalties that go our way sometimes and realize that bad calls happen in sports. Everyone acts like they only happen against us.

See this is where you lose me I am not complaining about other teams getting breaks I am complaining about the fairness of the rules itself as it pertains to playing defense.

He ran into the receiver. You can't do that, even if the ball is uncatchable, it would be illegal contact. So while the effect was huge, the call wasn't that bad (one can see how an official would miss the ball being tipped if its direction wasn't changed by the tip). But the twisting that goes on here is remarkable. Sour grapes & excuses; good thing the Pats are better at taking responsibility for a loss than most of the posters at Patsfans.com.

This is patently false. There are times when the Safety can hit the receiver. The rules even say so. And you're wrong about Illegal contact. If the ball is uncatchable, then it's not illegal contact.

Also, the point is MOOT and you are the one with sour grapes because, as was pointed out, Spikes TIPPED the ball. That makes all contact down field fair game.

Your snide comment only makes you look foolish. Especially when you consider that it's been shown that Brown didn't initiate the contact and that the contact didn't matter since the ball had been tipped to begin with.

Ahh yes, the pass was tipped, that must be 4th or 5th reason people gave in this thread for why it shouldn't have been a call (it was actually offensive PI... the ball was uncatchable... he was held... he cut in front of Brown... the ball was tipped...). Let's see the tip.

1st off. When I brought it up in the game thread, I mentioned it was Offensive PI. And it was as Nelson is the one who initiated contact.

Secondly, thee other items are VALID reasons for the Defensive PI call not to have been made. Just because YOU think otherwise, doesn't make it fact.

If don't believe that the Pats will have sent film into the NFL showing the blunder by the Ref, you have to be one of the most naive people to ever post. It's done on a regular basis. Particularly on bad/blown calls.

What Sergio Brown did is completely irrelevant. When the ball is tipped, he can tackle the WR with no consequences. The ref flat out blew the call. That's a fact.

Pretty sure that's just on a punt formation. Welker was basically tackled after Brady's one pick was touched and there was no flag.

Supposedly you can't see it clearly in the tv version, but the coaches' tape shows it pretty clearly.
