Brady is not perfect (albeit more perfect than any NFL player I've seen)...what kind of team are we when we fall apart after that one rare bad throw by Brady?

The Indianapolis Colts.

Seriously, people have been calling Brady the new Peyton Manning for years now.

We have gotten ZERO Pass rush, even when we've sent 6.

Why do I feel like we are down at the half. I feel like the only way the defense is going to stop the Bills is if THEY make the mistake.

You almost have give the Bills a score to start the 2nd half So when the Pats finally get the ball to start the 2nd half it will be a one score game.

Half time will be time to question the Pats time management of that last drive. Jut before the pick, I was thinking it would be a good time for a run to take 20 seconds off the clock in case the Pats scored too quickly and left time on the board for a last drive of the half.

We CANNOT rely on the offense to score every time, especially on the road. Too much can go wrong.

BTW- The ujuries are really starting to show

Welcome to the new NFL, where D isn't allowed.

There are plenty of other teams stopping teams, not every team have been allowing over 24 pts so far.

If they had run the ball , ate up clock, at minimum there would have got a field goal and Buffalo never would have seen the ball again until after the half. Poor coaching on that last drive, IMHO.

Amen 2 that....run out the fking clock...and worse case scenario get a FG there....oh well...on to 2nd half

That's the SECOND pick this season not Brady's fault. They really need to remove that stat. Brady shouldn't have ANY picks this season.

It's not his fault the receiver tips it into the air.

That WAS Brady's fault....it was totally unnessary to whip a fastball,on that play.he wasn't under pressure and he didn't give Woodhead a chance to turn around.....Never,ever throw a pick on first down in the RZ....they're using too much hurry-up,imo.:bricks:

i have two issues with our Defense, and as time passes they are not improving...

1. McCourty...i thought he was rusty at first, and i did not 100% expect a season like last year...but this is extremely disheartening, and i dont know what the explanation might be....i just hope he reverts to his old self mighty quick

2. the pass Rush...this whole offseason was about improving the pass rush, we had such a high turnover in our D line and our pass rushing lb's...and yet we get absolutely NOTHING from them every game, they have not pressured ANY qb we have faced, not at all, and its annoying, its actually starting to piss me off, the secondary should not have to be covering WR's for 5 seconds a play....we fix this, we have fixed our defense

and this last one is a maybe, but one that i guess cant be helped

3. safeties, BB wanted to turn them over, hopefully we see improvement from this position as time goes by

And when he makes a poor throw( however rare that is) we are screwed. Like today, or the Jets playoff game

Exactly, obviously Brady is good, but he's jotngood enough to win the game himself every single game every week. No one is. So to your point, the rest of the team.......not so good

I don't think he can just "snap out of it." It's becoming clear that last season was a fluke McCourty's just not that good. After all, there was a reason why no one had him going in the first round.

It's not clear at all. He's half a step off, and it's not a speed issue. If it was one thing consistently, I could see your argument, but that's not the case. One time it's a crap attempt at bumping by the line, another time it's not looking for the ball, another time it's missing his jump or misreading an obvious slant, etc...

What f*cking end.. Now they will get the ball back.

We need to figure out how to get this damn running game. Even with 21-7 lead and with 1 min left and in the red zone, we can't run on first&goal. This is what happened in the last several play offs...

The Pats CAN and have run on 1st and goal. Why they aren't doing it today is beyond me. They know that Buffalo is stout up the middle.. So why not run wide.. Buffalo doesn't have the players who can catch up with Woodhead or Ridley.

Part of this is on Brady and his always wanting the ball in his control.. Sometimes, the coaching staff needs to take it out of his hands for the betterment of the team..

If you read any coaching books....you'd realize our D plays like this on purpose.

Score check. Oh wow, we're leading 21-10. Judging from the past few pages, I thought we were down by a touchdown.

I drank this kool-aid last season when visiting the game day threads but there are clear problems with this team...problems that just seem to never get fixed season by season. We will be fine in the regular season but when the playoffs come around I'll be worried.

Apparently running the ball is not allowed anymore, I thought the Pats went out and drafted 2 rbs in the first 4 rounds of the draft because they were going to commit to running the ball, guess I was wrong.

Everyone expected this to be a shootout with Haynesworth, Chung, and Dowling out. The Pats shutdown the Bills for most of the first half and then play like we expected them to play all game halfway through the second quarter and now people act like this is a shock.

This defense will get better. They are missing two key secondary players and a big up the middle rusher. No this defense won't be one of the best defenses in the NFL, but just getting the guys I mentioned and Wright back will make this team better.

Arrington has been our best defender and tackler this year.

So I guess because Brady has already thrown half the amount of picks that he has from last season, his season was a fluke too. I mean he was supposed to go 7th round and we took him in the 6th, what were we expecting?

It's the middle of the 3rd f***ing game, that is not long enough to determine if McCourty is a bust or not. If we are judging players through this time period, then Arrington and Wilfork are some of the greatest CBs we have ever had.

I wanna recall a post by GrogansArmy last week about the Bills and Raiders

And I have to say, I totally understand why BB never takes his foot off the pedal. Just seeing how the Raiders got so complacent after being up 21-3 and then losing... I'm soooo glad BB, and the patriots really, say screw that we are not going to let you back in the game. We don't care if you think we're thugs, bullys, or disrespectful, but WE WILL NOT take our foot off your throat. There's so many examples every year of where a team is up big at the half and so they put in second stringers, or they decided to just run/prevent D and then end up losing because they were trying to be 'respectful'... screw that. Just Win.

We're not the Raiders. We'll run some clock, but we'll throw touchdowns and first downs and never let our foot off the gas.

So basically, this D is exactly like last years D? Uhhhhh...

Seems that was the plan. No defensive draft picks ( no I don't count IR Dowling ) and no money spent on D ( 1.5 million Haynesworth salary ? ).

This team was built for OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOfense

I hate to break it to you, but the interceptions were caused by the pass rush forcing Fitzpatrick to throw it without being set. And it was the pass rush that has drawn a couple of holding penalties as well. The problem is that it's not consistent.
