Well, they brough in Landetta yesterday and didn't sign him (yet). They had Danny Baugher on the Practice Squad and they just signed Tom Malone (any relation to Sam?) to the Practice squad as well.

What do you think

can't remember the name but hopefully not the steriod convicted fool Denver cut, who was previously with the Carolina Panthers

I was gonna start this poll but didn't bother . . . I say Baugher. Landetta was probably just someone to do some research on in case Baugher struggles this week.

Todd Sauerbrun (sp.?) Never know, wouldn't be the first 'problem child' project that BB's taken on.

I'd have to think Landetta is probably the one. Can't say that I know much more about what else is out their P-wise.

After Tunescribe's graveside report on the relationship between BB and God, how can there be any choice but Blanda?

It would have been even funnier if George Blanda was actually dead!

Shhhhh, Tune is covering up for an actual covert meeting between BB and George - cemeteries are great for those kind of clandestine activities.

Yes, it's true. George is 80 years old and they're trying to figure out a way to get around the fact that reactivation would interfere with his NFL pension. Blanda would be a quadruple threat behind center, as he can pass, run, drop-kick and punt. His career punting stats, by the way, are 22 for 809 yards.

wow pats1, I thought your response would be something like,

"NOBODY KNOWS!!!"

Well I was going to say he wasn't a punter but when you punted in college and you played for 80 freakin years, I suppose you could amass 22 punts just filling in for injuries.

If we're going to dig up relics, I nominate Tom Yewcic or Tom Tupa. Both would be more than adequate as a third QB too and I'm betting they could both drop kick if needed.

2 punters on IR??? Is BB filling the footballs with cement?

If we're going for old 'uns, what about Ray Guy?

I would like to put myself forward for this important role, and am willing to sacrifice my time with my family over the holidays to help the team achieve its goals.

I believe I am well qualified to fill the gap, because:

I am younger than Josh Miller and Ken Walter, and young enough for Sean Landeta to be my father.

I have no knee or should injuries (that I am aware of). I have a minor problem with arthritis in my toes, but nothing that a little tyenol wouldn't cure.

I may never have actually kicked an actual football before, but I was the kicker on my rugby team in my youth and could punt the ball a good 40 yards, which appears to be just about all it takes for the Pats. I daresay with some time spent on the physiotherapist's table I could be back to that level round about time for the Superbowl.

I can drop kick as well as Doug Flutie.

I would work for minimum wage, a grey hoodie and a return premium economy fare from London to Boston.

I would never, ever talk in public about my injuries.

YOU'RE HIRED.

2 punters on IR??? Is BB filling the footballs with cement?

Yes, it's an old Zen master training method BB adopted from the Shao-Lin monks to develop physical and mental toughness. Josh Miller was able to build the calcium in his foot to handle the constant pounding in practice, but the weight of the cement-filled footballs proved too much for his shoulder to endure. The opposite was true of Walter.

But do you have the gift of holding balls correctly?
