A Consolidation of Moss Threads

Hey, don't dump on the Jets. Sanchez isn't the worst starting QB in the NFL anymore. Jags just named Luke McNown their starting QB.

Good one, don't hurt yourself.

LOL, BOTH of you need brain transplants if you've set yourselves up as the one and only evaluators of talent and/or motivation.

I'm not sure where you got that one from but you're talking about a guy who Bill Belichick couldn't unload fast enough last season. So Brady, who never says a bad word about anyone said he would welcome Moss back with open arms and that's enough to get the Randy Moss Obssesive Delusional Stalker Fan Club Cult all worked up into a frenzy.

The Patriots got rid of him.
For good reason.
He's not coming back.
Learn to deal with it.
Get on with your live's.
Find something else to obsess about.
Pay attention to the team we have.
Fantasy football is not the same thing as real football.
That is all.

If this actually happened though it would mean that Belichick traded Moss to Childress for Moss and Ryan Mallet.

Moss also happened to take out two veteran coaches along the way too!

If you look a little harder, past the "Jet" in my screen name, you'd actually read that I complimented Patriot fans for being right about Moss last year, and that I was wrong...

Your own brethren said the same thing about him last year...

Why were you banned at GGN?

LOL, thanks for that, I needed a good laugh before I went to bed.

Look...I like to dump on the jets,as much as anyone.....but some of this stuff is just ridiculous.

Santonio Holmes is about the best quick-slant receiver in the league....he also turns and accelerates out of his break, which not many receivers can do.Not many recvrs will face the QB on this throw......Ocho doesn't and Branch is looking to dive to the ground as soon as the ball hits his hand.

Along with Sanchizes' ability to set up quickly, using a short-drop,this makes for a dangerous pairing......fair is fair:rocker:

Yup, I knew you were completely out of touch. This post just proves it.

Right, the one who doesn't want Moss back and doesn't foolishly believe it will happen is the one out of touch. Got it, any more words of wisdom?

What about Price, Slater and Ocho?

You seriously need any more?

I think the most underrated thing about Moss is that last year he just wasn't good.

He wouldn't block, wouldn't go over the middle, had a few instances of alligator arms, and generally avoided contact. In turn, this effected his ability to get deep. He was a one trick pony relegated simply to decoy status.

Everyone knew he was a bit of a ticking time bomb and I'm sure his tantrum wasn't a huge surprise. That probably hastened his departure but the writing was already on the wall.

So, I ask myself: Would we be able to get a Randy Moss that is willing to sacrifice both his pride and his body for this team? T.O. is older and can still play at a high level, so I doubt Randy has "lost it". At the same time, if he can't take contact and run intermediate routes he is useless to me.

However, if he is willing to do these things he would be a scary good pick-up.

Six more days, folks. Just six.

Don't kid yourself. 20 more weeks... Then it will be on to the 2012 Moss to NE??? Tour. This is going to be our own little version of Farvathon. Probably nothing more than another ring without him will end it, if anything will for some of them...

So if I post an opinion that doesn't paint a rosy picture for the Patriots, I'm trolling?

Sorry, the Moss topic is fascinating to me because I thought the Pats prematurely dropped him last year at such an early point in the year. I was wrong and it actually opened things up for the Pats and made them less predictable.

I kind of thought the Pats were going back to those predictable ways with Ocho, and now we learn there is a chance Moss may come back again?

No off-season, no training camp, a cancer, and now the same fans that spun his dismissal last year, many of whom were right, are now changing their story?

Just an opinion, it's a message board after all. Put your **** Tracy Jet fan alarm kit away.

The bolded portion of the comment above shows the power of the media, in this case espn.

If you go back to the original comments and interview, there is absolutely nothing whatsoever that would lead one to believe that "there is a chance Moss may come back again."

I'm not picking on you specifically because a large portion of people are obviously buying what espn is selling as well, whether they be fans of the pats or fans of one of the 31 other teams. Espn has taken an innocent comment (go back to response #77 for more detail), added some pretzel logic and speculation with no basis for fact, and now many (including yourself) are jumping to the conclusion that the Patriots are going to sign Moss, or at the least are considering it.

The four-letter network saw an opportunity to do what they do best -stir the pot with some controversy in order to drive up conversation, ratings, and page views - and it worked, just like it always does.

That's it; the two sides are not in negotiations, Moss isn't in for a workout, etc. NFL fans simply fell for another ratings grab from TWWL.

There's a poll on ESPN.com asking if the Pats should sign Moss.

With nearly 40,000 votes. . . .

>80% say yes. :bricks:

If Moss can contribute and be a good team mate then bring him back in. There's that small part of me however that is cynical about that so... we'll have to see.

Moss has about as much chance of becoming a Patriot again as Momma Gronkowski has of playing Safety for us

And of that 80% ...79% are Jets fans who would love to see our WR corps dwindle down to forcing throws to Moss in too tight coverage to keep him happy.

Come on bring him back for a 2yr deal league min.
