A Consolidation of Moss Threads

I think he's done as a starter, at least here. But on a team whose best receiver is a natural slot guy, and whose other two top receivers are route runners more than anything else -- yeah, he could have value in multi-WR sets.

Was that sarcasm?

The guy's just trolling. Don't bother getting worked up over it. His Jets will have to deal with cancers like Burress.

So if I post an opinion that doesn't paint a rosy picture for the Patriots, I'm trolling?

Sorry, the Moss topic is fascinating to me because I thought the Pats prematurely dropped him last year at such an early point in the year. I was wrong and it actually opened things up for the Pats and made them less predictable.

I kind of thought the Pats were going back to those predictable ways with Ocho, and now we learn there is a chance Moss may come back again?

No off-season, no training camp, a cancer, and now the same fans that spun his dismissal last year, many of whom were right, are now changing their story?

Just an opinion, it's a message board after all. Put your **** Tracy Jet fan alarm kit away.

Insano's right about Moss's brain issues. As far as the majority of posters in this thread, either they have their own brain issues or they are easily distracted by shiny objects. Here's a test.

LOL, BOTH of you need brain transplants if you've set yourselves up as the one and only evaluators of talent and/or motivation.

Six more days, folks. Just six.

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion

Pretty clear case of trolling. As I've said to you before, I've got no problem with you trolling. Hell, I do it on occasion, although I usually give a heads up on it by including a warning pic of this nature:

In this case, Rob seemed to be getting all worked up about it, and that's a waste of his time. Also, you don't actually want an honest discussion, and you've proven that repeatedly in the past couple of days, so let's not pretend on that score.

I think that it *could* work with Moss if...
1. He accepts a complimentary role, not a star role.
2. He can keep his head on straight for as many as 19 games in a row.
3. He doesn't expect to make a lot of cash, maybe a 1 year $1.5mil deal.
4. Everyone has a bad game, but if he flakes, he's gone. Just one time.

If he can do all of that, why not? That is, after week one is done.

We get it, you don't like Jet fans that post on your Patriot board. Grow up.

Been through this one with you already. I consider Gunnails one of the better posters on this board, and he's a Jets fan.

Keep trying though. It's amusing watching you flail around.

I'll have to work harder, your opinion means so much to me... :snob:

whats funny is, if Moss comes back he will still be better than any wr the jets have and that includes Holmes...that could have something to do with the jets having the worst starting qb in the nfl though.

Yeah right... when you make statements such as...

"I remember Pats fans all wanted Moss out last year," and...

"Sorry, he has been a cancer in every locker he's been in,"

...you are the one that needs to grow up. Obviously not all Pats fans wanted him gone last year and VERY obviously he was not a cancer in our locker room.

Fool.

If you look a little harder, past the "Jet" in my screen name, you'd actually read that I complimented Patriot fans for being right about Moss last year, and that I was wrong...

Your own brethren said the same thing about him last year...

LOL, thanks for that, I needed a good laugh before I went to bed.

Just heard on ESPN an upcoming segment was about to air regarding Randy Moss' possible return to NE and TB's comments seeming to point to a possibility that it COULD happen! .I HAD to run out d%#*[email protected] was hoping that someone here may catch the actual segment on this. I am prob one of the rare few who think the guy could still be productive.....and will have something to prove this year as EVERYONE has written him off.....stay tuned! BTW, psychedelic to see gronks bro signed! GO PATS!

I think they're just running with the Brady WEEI story from this morning that got re-run on PFT

Brady was asked about Moss' comments about wanting to come back to the Patriots.

They asked Brady if he would welcome Moss back.

There was a pause.

A long pause.

Then Brady gave the diplomatic - "I like Randy, Randy's my friend. I talked to him last week. I don't have any say on personnel but if they brought Randy back I'd welcome him" response.

He also said he'd love to have Troy Brown back and David Patten too.

ESPN has twisted an interview transcript into a story where Tom Brady is begging for Randy to return and Belichick is about to pull the trigger to make it happen.

That doesn't reflect the interview. ESPN needs to learn the difference between news and journalism.

That being said, I assume the Butler cut means someone else is on their way in - and anything is possible.

Some Pats fans wanted him gone last year and some Pats fans, who feel the need to remind us that their brains are bigger than the rest of us thereby putting themselves in Jets fans territory, don't want him back this year. Don't paint us all with the same brush to try to make a point.

I think if Branch ever goes down (hardly inconceivable) and if Price and/or Ochocinco don't work out/get hurt, then we might see Moss back. As of now, it's nice having him on the shadow roster. In the meantime, BB should send him a video on blocking for WR's 101.
Send him a video on how to shut up at post game pressers.

That's the problem. He can play. He just won't keep his mouth shut.

Hey, don't dump on the Jets. Sanchez isn't the worst starting QB in the NFL anymore. Jags just named Luke McNown their starting QB.
