I think people are seeing Brady have trouble passing when a 4 man rush gets to him and blaming it on him for some reason. There isn't a quarterback in the NFL that can consistently get the job done when he's getting pressured by a four man rush. If there's no blitz, then what is he supposed to exploit for a quick completion?

I have just as much confidence in Brady as ever. What I've lost confidence in is the ability of the interior linemen to hold up against good defensive tackles even in non-blitzing situation. We still need to replace Neal.

After the game, I am concerned about the Patriots OLine. They better get it together.... Brady's last years are precious.

After the game I'm concerned with the average NFL fan putting to much weight into a preseason game.

not so much

They lookes bad against the Rams in the preseason last year AFAIR and they still did pretty good in the regular season...

...but then how did they fare in the POs?

I do agree with you on the intensity issue. That said, I think a lot of the lack of intensity in those games comes from Brady.

I don't think there is a player on the Patriots who cares more about winning than Brady does, i just think he is less likely to take it out on the team openly when he is playing poorly, and he has played poorly in those games. Brady rallied the team in the SB loss and the Jets loss it just wasn't enough, the Ravens game was a lost cause from the opening kick, they flat out sucked that day. that said they really deserved to lose all of those games and they need to have a real sense of urgency when the play-offs roll around this season.

This is essentially a new team that hasn't won anything and they need to learn how to win big games, with their dynasty teams they had the benefit of the 2001 wins to call upon, whereas this team has lost playoff games and can''t call upon clutch until they become it. Brady is clutch but no one player wins big games, teams do.

I wish this poll were public, I would love to know who considers a pre-season loss akin to the playoff losses, there is no comparison.

Well, I for one voted Jets/Ravens game...
I voted so because thats what the game remided me of. Offensive line that didn't bother showing up for the game. Lack of a pulse from the entire team. Uncharacteristic mistakes from Tom. A crappy pass defense augmented by a lack of pass rush.
Yes I know it's not the end of the world. It's only a preseason game. What bothers me is that I know the team that we saw on Saturday could very well show it's ugly face during a playoff game. It has done so the last 2 playoff games. I thought our defense played well in the GTSNBN. Our O-line has taken 3 consecutive playoff games off. Hopefully they are well rested come the next one.

I am freaking concerned about the wrs on the outside!!Welker and the TEs are great but they alone arent gonna get u to a superbowlBranch looks like he doesnt even play on this team and Ocho is still not clicking with TB.Looking back now, i wish they would have signed Braylon Edwards to a one year deal.He has speed on the outside.Tate in my mind is still useless and Price is unknown.

The secondary couldnt cover anyone, i hope its not the same crap again.

Very concerned.

The o-line is destined to struggle against defensive fronts and Tom Brady is a below average quarterback at best under pressure. On defense, Spikes being out particularly worries me and Leigh Bodden needs to stay healthy because the young corners certainly don't scare anyone.

I hope this is a joke post

Not at all. It has not changed my opinion of this team one bit.

I was a little disappointed in the performance, especially by the lines against Detroit. That said, BB played vanilla schemes the entire game. He clearly saw enough through games 1 & 2 and has put the playbook and personnel away until the regular season opener.

While I'm somewhat concerned, it wasn't caused by the Lions game. I've been concerned for a while about Brady when he faces pressured. Not only does he get happy feet, but his throws seem to be way off. He also seems to become passive and not as into the game. I'm also very concerned about Connolly at RG. To lesser extent, Koppen is a minor worry.

I too get concerned when Brady gets pressured and he seems to lose a lot of emotion. Seeing him make those confused/sad faces while sitting on his butt in the middle of the field is extremely deflating. On the flipnside when he's psyched up and marching down the sidelines lighting fires under his teammates it truly warms my heart lol!

This face?

Not worried at all, still think this is a 12+ win football team.

This face?

In all honesty that is the exact image I had in mind when writing that post. He has unfortunately made a few too many of them over the years, but yes that is the exact one haha.
