I hope that means we're planning to keep lots of DL/WR at the expense of the DB's. Wilhite and Sanders weren't great by any means but as a #5 DB/2nd string safety they'd more than suffice on most teams.

I guess we can mark down Williams for the short list of folks cut the same season they were signed.

It really seems we are thin on the secondary after all these cuts. I hope BB has some signings up his sleeve.

Oh, one note on Ventrone, FWIW: even though they released him a few days ago (when they signed Wetterer?), they never cleaned out his locker. . . .

Hasn't Kade Weston been injured all pre-season?
It may turn out he was released with an injury settlement.
I sort of hoped he'd be IR'ed - showed some promise, couldn't stay healthy.

He played a lot in the 1st preseason game, can't remember seeing him in the 2nd one. He didn't play against DET I think.
Was already on IR last year, so maybe they see more potential with Richard and/or Cohen.

The list is highlighted by veteran safety James Sanders, who is in his seventh NFL season.
