I guess we can mark down Williams for the short list of folks cut the same season they were signed.
I don't get cutting James Sanders and bringing back Ross Ventrone....
Sssshhhhh........Genius at work.
(whispered: It seems stupid to me too - unless there's a scheme to put the $12-15 million under the cap to work)
Hasn't Kade Weston been injured all pre-season?
It may turn out he was released with an injury settlement.
I sort of hoped he'd be IR'ed - showed some promise, couldn't stay healthy.

The Patriots made a flurry of transactions today in anticipation of tomorrow's 4 p.m. deadline to cut the roster from 90 to 80 players.
The list is highlighted by veteran safety James Sanders, who is in his seventh NFL season. Other players cut by the Patriots today include, kicker Chris Koepplin, tight end Garrett Mills, WR Darnell Jenkins, WR Tyree Barnes, cornerback Malcolm Williams, defensive lineman Kade Weston and offensive lineman Mark Wetterer, cornerback Jonathan Wilhite and long snapper Matt Katula.
