Instead of creating a thread, I'm just going to vent here (take it or leave it). The refs set the tone on this game and the Pats never recovered like a good team should:
Ocho PI - 85 gets nailed (5 yards past LOS). Is on his butt, but still gets called for the penalty
Arrington PI - not PI. within 5 yards of the LOS. If you think it was then how about that time Woodhead got hit before the ball got there 1 yard past the LOS?
Welker crackback - he hit his lower leg, but a crack back involves 2 blockers. Welker was the first guy to touch him
Slater going out of bounds - Why can't the kicking team go out of bounds on their own? Isn't that like taking players off the field which is beneficial to the return team?
Non-call: Suh punching Mankins in the face. Refs: He deserved it for the facemask? I really don't know what else it could be. The league should fine him for this.
Anyone notice CBS stopped replaying the refs bad mistakes after Ocho's horrible call.
I like Detriot's energy, but it's amazing what they can get away with compared to the nitpicking that goes on in Foxboro.
