More from Pepper: he says hardest part of all the new D-linemen is Bill Belichick - the head man has high expectations

Great Finds, Gents!! :rocker:

It IS hilarious to read the wailing and gnashing of teeth from those who actually think HaynesWorth could get CUT!!

HaynesWorth + Wilfork, together, are going to be a Crushing, Mauling FORCE.

I really don't think most fans perceive what a SEISMIC Impact this is going to have on our Defense.

...

Re: Pepper on Albert Haynesworth

lol @ all the jets fans getting their hopes up that haynesworth gets cut. Because you know they are scared of what he can do
So true, so true. Ocho too.

Their off season has sucked to put it mildly.

Pepper Johnson: Haynesworth is a 'great guy' | CSNNE | Danny Picard

“I think he’s excited about being here,” said Johnson. “He’s excited about playing football. He’s one of the best defensive linemen in the league, so I’m quite sure he’s going to make a big difference when we get out on the field.

“He is very unlike a lot of what you read about. I was thinking, 'What am I really going to have to deal with?' I’m coaching whatever player that comes up in here, it doesn’t matter to me. But Albert is a great guy. It’s kind of hard to see some of the things that you hear all negative about him, coming from that person.

“Some of the stuff, you need to know both sides of the story,” added Johnson. “I think Albert is a great person. He’s been trying to work his way out onto the field. He’s been tremendous in the classroom. I’m expecting a lot from him.”

I've never paid attention to the stars. Either the thread sucks or it doesn't. To be honest I've never put a star on anything I've read.

Agree, nor do I check the star rating on a thread before deciding to read it.

I don't even see the stars. I've got them blocked.

Re: Pepper on Albert Haynesworth

Though i love your optimism, this defense hasn't killed a squirrel yet, never mind bring back road kill to the den. Let's see it all put together a bit more before we start proclaiming this team QB killers. Hope your right though.

Sorry... I showed too much optimism... I'll "keep it real" from now on...

Although I agree with your comment in regards to the D line having not killed a squirrel yet, I AM willing to bet the O-line has killed and eaten numerous examples of several species of small furry animals in just the last two weeks. I mean, just look at 'em!

It's all good. Can't wait to see the starters all in place and view the finished product. Just don't go all Hulkamaniac on us like Off The Grid. He spits on us through our monitors by accident with all his enthusiasm. Actually, I like his posts though, he offers quite a bit to the forum here.

SEISMIC for sure, ifthey are on the move.

Heck, if they just stand still, the ball and running back may still get pulled in their direction by the gravitic distortion of their combined mass It certainly will be interesting to see if they move to an attacking style of defense.

Re: Pepper on Albert Haynesworth

Not nitpicking as all are entitled to their opinions.......

But who one starred the post? I'm just curious why?

Do you not like AH? Do you think this is propaganda? Are you Dan Pompeii?

Jets fan, most likely. This is one-star type news to them.

We Will SMASH The Enemy Into Tiny BITS!!!

Thanks, Brother Missile!!

Re: Pepper on Albert Haynesworth

Hold on.

I thought Haynesworth was getting cut?

Come on....... whose word are you going to believe here. Coach Pepper, one of the few guys in a position to even intelligently comment on the progress of defensive players, or that of the great and wondrous internet writer Dan Pompeii?

It's obvious that Pompeii is on to something and Pepper is just talking out of his azz. It's just mindless banter. We all know how often Patriot coaches just shoot off at the mouth without really thinking. They go off the script contently.

Don't be so gullible.

Re: Pepper on Albert Haynesworth

Remember reading that all threads are tagged by the system as a 1-star by default before someone rates it.

Don't ask me why and why not 5 stars. (Ask Ian! )

So, might want to hold off giving the Jester fans that much credit.

???

I don't know, that doesn't sound accurate to me.

How would you explain some threads having no stars yet plenty of views if that were the case?
