No matter how you look at it, the Jets cap situation is going to force them to let go some important players. Forget the big name players other important players on their team who are now UFA:
Drew Coleman, James Ihedigbo, Eric Smith, Wayne Hunter, Steve Weatherford, Shaun Ellis.. as them on to Brad Smith, Holmes, Edwards, Cromartie

With the consensus that they are right at or right over the cap.. no matter what they do big changes are coming. And in my opinion losing Santonio Holmes really really hurts that team, he would be unreplaceable.
