Blah.. You don't pass on Watt to take Pouncey..

I'd rather take heyward at 17 and reup at tackle at 28

I hope they go (17) Mike Pouncey, (28) Danny Watkins, and (33) Nate Solder to solidify that line for Brady's final years, and/or maybe into the beginning years of his replacement.

I have to agree. I know Pouncey is a good player and will go in the first two rounds but does he get rated higher because of his brother?

Why does everybody insist on giving the Pats a guard at 17? With that pick, he better be the best guard in the NFL, and he's not going to be.

...and you don't take an OG in the mid-first. Especially one the doesn't fit (or even come close) to BB's athletic standards.

He's not even a second-tier OT being converted to OG, like Mankins. And if he plays one pick at OC we are screwed. IIRC he had 22 bad snaps his last year at Florida.

I will "third" this sentiment.... Pouncey at 17?!? Instead of a D-line beast? That would be nothing short of criminal.

Besides, Watt and Watkins would fit their proclivities much better.

I like Watt or Ingram at 17 but see both them as gone

Yes he does. He is not the player his brother is and not a good fit in our zone blocking scheme.

Jordan for me at 17, and Reed at 28 (with Watkins gone).

I agree. D Lineman all the way for BB in this draft. The key is figuring out how BB maximizes value and picks.

I think he does it by having a group of D linemen that he likes and if several are available at #17, he trades down.

However if this draft falls like the Ty Warren draft, he could have to trade up if there is a huge run on them.
