Right now we own 3 picks in the first 33. I do NOT want to end up with one mid round first round pick 5 2nd and 3 round picks. This is not the year to add solid football players. Its the year we should be adding immediate IMPACT players.
This year I will be. There isn't enough roster space for all these kids to make the team if the pats traded down. I expect a trade up and/or trading picks into 2012.

If the Pats can trade #92 for one of the 4 remaining 3rd round picks and pick up an extra #4 that would be a gr8 move. Count me in!
But seriously I understand where you are coming from. Last year when the Pats could have had Dez Bryant at #22, they traded down twice and got stuck with Devin McCourty, Aaron Hernandez, and Taylor Price. Who wants to end up something like that again?
OH WAIT!!!!!
Cousin, "Oh Wait" happened once the last few years but maybe not again this year. Why is it that everyone feels we have had the best Draft record over the last five or ten years when in fact, last year was good and the rest mediocre at best? As far as I am concerned (IMO)his best Drafting year was for the 07 Season when he used some picks wisely for trades and got some Free Agents in here and decided that maybe the 17% success rate that the Draft brings did not trump the players he got other ways.
Moss, Welker, Stallworth (still a reasonable year), Kyle Brady (extra tackle), Sammy Morris and his best year here, Adalius Thomas were added. Oh wait, not a bad Draft class.
Cousin I understand your exuberance about 2010 and that class. I liked it too but I'll take 07 as my preference and final result over this last year because of one final minute resulted in a missed SB trophy with a one in a thousand circus catch versus five holding and facemask penalties ignored by the zebras on that one play alone. Enough about that.
My point? Let's not think that last years results will match this year with the picks especially if he gives away the top ones for 2012 which might not have a Draft as we know it if the players and NFLPA have their way. That would be a stupid waste in picks.
