Patrick Willis + Reggie Nelson
I really like Nelson's game (that's REALLY LIKE) but he looks a little frail for the big man's game he plays. He plays like Harrison but at 25 pounds or so lighter. I just can't see him surviving.Right now I'm leaning toward Nelson and Spencer in rd 1.

Darrelle Revis and Daymeion Hughes, both CBs.
---Cal CB Daymeion Hughes got exposed vs. USC WR Steve Smith last week. He has been productive and made a lot of plays on the ball this year. But, as he showed when he got caught flat-footed in man coverage vs. the Trojans, he will bust a lot of coverages, and when he does, it is not being singled out as much. Some scouts like him as high as the second round. Others have graded him in the seventh. The reality is he will likely fall into the middle rounds as a cover-2, zone corner, where his lack of speed can be covered up.
When all is said and done I think Anthony Spencer will shoot up the draft like Wimbley did last year. He's 6'3'' 260 and very fast, 4.6, plus he has crazy production (10.5 sacks, 26.5 TFL, 7 passes defensed) and can play the run. His motor will make him a better OLB than Moses, who also lacks strength at the POA, and Spencer has better size and speed than Woodley (6'1'' 257 4.7). Colvin can help break in a fellow Purdue alum at OLB next year. Right now I'm leaning toward Nelson and Spencer in rd 1.

---"Anthony has had a great year," coach Joe Tiller said. "I think he's a national player, in the sense that he's achieved much more than just about any other defensive end in the country. He's playing as well as anybody. The biggest difference in Anthony Spencer this year is that he's been healthy. We just nominated him for an award for overcoming adversity. He's had several season-ending injuries, but this year he's been healthy and playing at a high level."
I didn't mean he's not physical - I meant that he's so physical and such a hitter I worry if his body will take the pounding over time. Compared to Harrison who's more in the 220 range. Admittedly, though, when making a draft pick lasting 5 years, the first contract, is all that matters because after that you're paying market value or losing the player. Like I said, I love Nelson and would be ecstatic to get him. He reminds me a little of Maroney on defense - just an infectious looking love of the game that can't help but carry over.hes not as physical at safety? he hits people..if u didnt see his weight youd say hes great
The dream draft would be to get him and either a Safety or CB, depending on how they like Sanders and whether they sign Samuel. With Wilson a FA after 2008 the timing would be perfect to replace him with a guy who might become what it looked like Wilson was on his way to becoming. Then add a 2008 replacement for Harrison or 2007 replacement for Samuel and the DBs will look a lot better for the future.Nelson is a play maker, and he may be talented enough to play nickel CB which is not as physical as Safety. In year 2 he could take over for Wilson.
