Bring back the alternative jerseys?!? Yay or nay?

So I was thinking, over the past two years, seeing the Pats play in their alternative Red (and one time White) Jerseys has been great. I always felt like playing in an alternate jersey made it extra fun. I also think they are great jerseys to show off, I mean I know they don't bring back the "best" of memories but that's why we make new ones. Like the comeback against Buffalo on the first Monday Night football game of the season.

The game against Detroit on Thanksgiving, was another great fun game to watch. I NEVER liked those gray jerseys, they were probably the worst alternative jersey ever invented, no point to them.

I remembered the New York Jets had worn their alternative jerseys last year and they seemed to be well liked by the organization, except they decided not to wear them for the 2010 season.Don't know why.

The Steelers are another team that wears those cool old school black and yellow uniforms, along with the Browns who wear the same type as the Steelers, almost every year.

I am just curious to see how many people around here think they should be brought back for the 2011-12 season, maybe even longer, but let's take it one step at a time. VOTE!!!!

Yep keep em, half the time I didn't even know they were wearing their silver jerseys. I like the 60's version better though with the red socks.

yep, they better bring back BOTH the red throwbacks AND Wes Welker, because thats what I got and there are no other WR jerseys I would rather have.

FUnny I was just thinking about this watching some highlight videos: The blue/white/silver unis from the past several years are starting to look pretty tired to me; I find myself really liking the red and white old school option more than I thought I would.

Really? We all have our own taste but I never really heard anyone saying they liked the silver ones. I always though a red alternate would be cool but, I would rather just have pat the patriot.

I've had enough of the 80's uniforms. It was neat the first few times but now it's run into the ground. I'd love to see one of the uniforms from 93-99 though. That would be cool to see a few times.

So would I. Always loved those. They've got the colors of the current ones and the old-ish feel of the old ones. Perfect.

I answered no - though I do not think they are terrible (you are essentially asking two questions there so I only answered the first - should they become the alternative jersey. I like them very much as jerseys but prefer them as our throwback uniform.

I'd like to see the Patriots play in future on the road with the throwback uniforms of the period 'end 80 years' : with white jersey red pants

As Roger Clemens once made famous, I think you are misremembering.

The Pats won while wearing them in 2002.

They were 2-1 wearing them in 2009 (win vs. BUF, vs. TEN, loss at MIA).

They were 2-0 in 2010 (wins vs. MIN, @ DET).

By my count, that's 5-1, far from crap.

Even 5-2 is really good if you include the white version of the throwbacks they lost in while playing at Denver in 2009.

was never a fan of the new uniforms, too much dallas cowboy wanna be silver blue cheese, to gaudy. the red and white are more classic much better imo.
i wish they kept the update simple instead of trying to be trendy

I think they have "recent" losses to Miami, Denver, and Indy in them and that's why I don't like them. The record may be better, but their record is so good overall it should be, so the big losses are standing out to me.

I like the red/white throwbacks as the teams alternate. Would kind of like to see them use the red pants with the white jersey.
