The Jets suck (merged)

Just a hunch, mind you, but methinks the Jests reaction/celebration in the visitors locker room of Solider Field to backing (yet again) into the playoffs might have unfolded similarly to this:

Because he saw a lady with a sweet pair of size 5 feet nestled in some attractive flips flops, and just couldn't resist.

Well that clears that up.

Ol' Rex ought to leave the Jets and take the next warm weather job that opens up. More bare feet and he would stop sucking so much... or would he?

Do you think ex-Jet Brett Favre would get fined if he sent Rex a photo-text of his feet?

This Jets suck thread is making me thirsty.

This just in: Sanchez still sucks.

From the Football Outsiders Mailbag:

FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | FO Mailbag: Dropped Interceptions

“However, in our 14 weeks of data, one quarterback stands head and shoulders above the rest of the pack when it comes to dropped interceptions. Would it surprise you that it is a young quarterback who has been praised this year for his improvement even though the only thing that has really improved is his interception rate?”

“In 12.5 charted games through Week 14, Mark Sanchez [2] has 13 dropped interceptions. That's five ahead of any other quarterback. Derek Anderson [3] has eight, while Peyton Manning [4] and Carson Palmer [5] (who Bill Simmons always highlights as a dropped-pick machine) each have seven.”

I've said for a while now is that one of the biggest differences in Sanchez's game this year from last is that he was lucky that a lot of the picks he was throwing this year have been dropped and last year they weren't. He has been very lucky in that area this year. Unfortunately for him, that kind of luck cannot last forever.

I heard on Mike & Mike this morning that the Jets have had only two (2) back to back playoff years in their history.

Just when I thought that the Jets couldn't get any more pathetic, another stat like this comes out and just makes my day.

What is equally pathetic is that I remember them . and in both instances they barely made it. In 86 they lost their last 5 games or so and in 85 they needed to win their last game and if they hadn't had a better conference record than the Pats and Denver, would have been out of the playoffs.

I just can't wait for these ***clowns to be put to rest officially come playoffs time. I feel the same way about the Ravens, who declared themselves "a dangerous playoff team."

That and the "we're goin' to da SUPER BOWL" chatter from the Jest and their fans have been this season's most annoying moments.

In a just world, they'd both be humiliated in the first round (which is impossible if they play each other - I haven't paid attention. We're not playing, and we have to beat someone in the next round. That's all I know.)

But the world is not always just, alas.

I just know I feel better watching the Pats relatively quietly going to 13-2 than I'd feel watching the Jest limping backwards into the playoffs losing game after game.

Seems like they never recovered from that 45-3 ***whupping issued a few weeks back - and that's the sweetest thing about the meltdown.

Nah, the Pats aren't in their heads

That is inaccurate. 01-02; 85-86; 68-69 and now '09-'10.

What they have yet to achieve is to WIN a playoff game in back to back years. They were one and done in 69, 85, and 01.

Plus 81 and 82.

Thanks for the correction.

I though that was an incredible stat for a non expansion team. Herm Edwards was doing the show and agreed, but it appears that I misunderstood what they were saying.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Mike & Mike aren't always accurate.

Gee, you would think Greenie would be a little more knowledgeable about his precious JEST??

Then again, "knowledgeable" and "JEST fans" don't belong in the same sentence.

Neither Greenie nor Golic are there this week, they've had different fill-ins the whole time. This morning it was Doug Gottileb and Herm Edwards.

Just for clarification. And make no mistake, the Jets still SUCK.

It's really warm here today and.....the Jets still suck!
