Going to my first game tomorrow, things I should know?

I will bring the noise every way possible. I want to say I played a part in the Jets losing this game! My only worry is to save some screams for the fourth quarter.

I'm curious about traditions I should know about at my first Gillette game.

For instance, is there something everyone shouts when the Pats get a first down, for instance? Any other local traditions I should know about?

For instance, when the Jets get a first down, should I throw a Jets fan out of the stadium for good luck?

Yell your lungs out. And just remember, the Green Beans suck.

Instead of not drinking, just hit the bathroom BEFORE you go up to your seats. Fewer lines before the game. The announcer yells, "And that play is good for another Patriots'..." and everyone yells, "FIRST DOWN!" and makes the signal toward the appropriate end zone. Make sure you high five everyone around you upon a score and they play "This Is Our House" by Bon Jovi after a TD, so sing loud!

Have a great time. I am not going as I gave my tickets away at the beginning of the year before it became apparent how important this game is. :(

Clearly spoken by someone without a prostate

Make noise when the Pats are on D. The rest will come to you. Get there early if you want to have a chance to walk around the stadium concourse, walk the bridge, etc. You probably won't find the time during or after the game.

Don't worry about seeing the Hall of Fame, it's closed on game days.

Other than what everyone else has told you, here's my little tip. If the game comes down to the last play and you want to get out fast without worrying too much about traffic, my advice is to get up right after the final whistle and beat feet to the car. Close games generally mean people are sticking around and the traffic is not as bad if you're one of the first to your car after the game (though YMMV in cold weather with the wine and cheese crowd bailing out). I've left close 1pm games before and been home in time to catch the second half of the 4pm game; again YMMV at the night game. You'll know the deal when you're there.

if a jets fan offers to shake your hand before the game, spit on him and kick him in the junk.

Probably not the kind of advice you're looking for but, I'd wear 2 pairs of socks and a warm hat.

You need four pairs of socks Minimum!

Feet, Hands, Neck, Balls... Extra socks warms them all!

Thank you Band of Brothers. :D

Well played.

Surprised to find this in the PS forum. Yet, so many superfluous hype threads linger on. :confused2:

Threads aren't moved based on quality. OT threads will be moved from the Pats fan board on gameday especially. If there are any you think should be moved report them and we'll look at it. Sometimes no action is taken until someone complains.
