sorry for bringing up such painful memories, but what were the issues with the officiating in that game? I think I have blocked out so much of the game I forget. I know the way the clock was run during the Giants final drive was way off, but I dont remember much else in regards to the officiating

I've seen many people post that there should have been a holding call on the fluke catch. I can't bring myself to watch any of it, so I can't comment personally on it.

Changed it for you

Besides if Hobbs had some help on that final play to Burress or one of our linemen was good enough to wrap up a wimpy Eli instead of letting him get away for the Tyree miracle catch,we would not be saying Belichick coached a bad game.

You must be talking about wimpy Seymour being held from behind for 5 seconds while he had Eli's jersey in his hand. Pretty sure that was one of the worst non calls in superbowl history.

Thank you chicken little.

It really stinks having a great offense.

We need to just give up the season as a loss right now.

dude - you know, you must be a real estate investor. Know why? Its a 8-10 yr cycle with investors that have a 4 yr memory.

Think about what happened 3 yrs ago. A good defense gobbled up an elite offense. Defensive line play outperformed the greatest wide receiver & QB performance in the history of the NFL.

the number #1 rated offense almost never wins the Super Bowl (7 times only).

The #1 Offense by DVOA has won the SB 4 times.
The #1 Passing Offense by DVOA has won the SB 6 times.

Both Numbers since 1993-2009 so 16 SBs

Given the fact, that teams have to play Defense and Special teams too, and a football game is a highly random event that number is pretty impessive I would think.

PS: The #1 Def has also won 4 times.

But only after the Pats lost their starting RG and his backup, to injury...
