It doesn't seem like these guys are on the same page. It consistently seemed like guys were moving early, and not hitting their marks on time or when Brady expected. Not just with the route running but with the blocking too -- like on screens or when the guards pulled.

I blame this on Bill O'Brien.

I agree but I think facing Mangini, Daboll and Ryan who do have a good understanding of the defensive and offensive system make an offense that is still evolving be even more challenged.

I'm confident that the timing and rhythm will get better and the mistakes will become less frequent.

I saw Gronkowski drop a lot of passes, and Tate drop one that hit him in the numbers late in the game.

Its hard to blame Brady or even OBrien when the receivers arent catching passes.

Not catching passes is symptomatic of a bigger problem. That problem is the fact that these guys look unfamiliar with what they are doing.

The receivers dropping balls killed us today. However, most of this season the lack of creativity and imagination from a play calling and play design standpoint is making it easy for coverages to stay on top of our receivers. I've read these forums all season and everyone is correlating the lack of offense with the departure of Randy Moss. To me this is inaccurate. The loss of Josh McDaniels is what is hurting our offense. San Diego is putting up points against everyone with receivers I've never heard of, a running game that isn't much better than ours, and an offensive line, which at best, is as good as ours. The Denver Broncos with terrible guards and centers, no run game, puts up yards and points with no name receivers. The receivers aren't getting open because the play design is poor or the offensive coaching is poor. The coaches take the brunt of the blame, not the players.

Football basics .... run the football and stop the run!

We were watching the same game.

I guess the feelings on Bill O'Brien are whether the Pats win or not. He gets praised when the Pats win, but gets criticized when they lose.

The whole problem with the offense is the OL. It has been struggling the past few weeks and the Pats have got away with it because Brady has escaped the pocket and made plays, that isnt Bradys thing and it was clear that it wouldnt happen every week. Today showed that Brady isnt a mobile QB and the way to beat the Pats is to blitz. The OL can pick up 3 and 4 man rushes fine, and gives Brady all day to throw and they look good, but when teams rush more than 4 the OL struggles and defenders get to Brady and make him look bad.

Dropped balls are in issue for the offense. Going into today they were 2nd in the league in drops, and they added to it today. There isnt a worse feeling for a QB to be struggling and finally throw a perfect ball for a 1st down and the WR muffs it. Brady was extremely frustrated today, and for good reason. Some of Bradys throws were not perfect, but that isnt an excuse NFL WRs and TEs should catch the majority of the balls that they can get their hands on.
