Four teams emerge as "most interested in adding Moss". Pats... are....

bring him back if he clears waivers.......he would help

but only if he brings the 2007 attitude

It would make zero sense for the Pats to put a claim in since they are last in the order. If they want him back the best move is to wait and hope he clears waivers. That way they can sign him to less money and have the Vikings foot the bill with that $3.3 million. Only problem is I get the sense he will be claimed.

Stupid move is if the Pats claim him they have nothing to gain in claiming Moss. I think he ends up with the Chargers or Raiders.

There are two reasons I could see them making a claim:

1. They think that other teams will put in claims so they won't get him, but it would further strengthen their relationship with Randy feeding into his "You like me! You really like me!" mindset which helps more than it hurts.

2. If no one claims him and they sign him as a FA, I could see the Vikings having more ground to fight for their third round pick back. If they claim him, they have the defense that "30 other teams could have had him at this price." Their stance is weakened if they sign him to as sweetheart FA deal.

They absolutely have no claims for that 3rd pick back. You can't trade for an asset then 4 weeks later drop that asset and expect your money back without returning the product. And if the Patriots resigned that asset after he was let go that is Minnesota's fault.

Maybe, but remember, as Randy says, it's business. And I think the Pats would want to have Childress responsible for the remainder of the contract. Re-sign Moss to a 3-year deal at a hometown discount, as a way for him to prove his loyalty. It's all about humility. The Pats don't need him now, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind bringing him back. If he clears waivers, the ball will be in Randy's court.

let him clear waviers the sign him to the vet min. thats what a few teams are proabably thinking and aside from the vet min thing thats what Randy is hoping so he can pick and choose where he is going

Yes, but Rex Ryan probably doesn't have as sophisticated a palate as Randy's dog.

Yeah that's true. I'd imagine if you dress up a skunk in chocolate and told Rex its a "French delicacy" that he would eat it up.
