2010 NFL Mock Draft

Round 1

1. St. Louis Rams – QB Sam Bradford, Oklahoma
The Rams want a King’s ransom for #1 but can’t get it.

2. Detroit Lions – DT Ndamukon Suh, Nebraska
Your new (Animal House) Delta name is…t-SUH-nami!

3. Tampa Bay - DT Gerald McCoy, Oklahoma
He’s widely compared to Warren Sapp and with good reason.

4. Washington Redskins – LT Bruce Campbell, Maryland
This year’s Jason Smith. Skins may also trade for Tebow.

5. Kansas City Chiefs – DB Eric Berry, Tennessee
Fans want Okung. Teammates want Kam Chancellor in Rd 2.

6. Seattle Seahawks – QB Jimmy Clausen, Notre Dame
Ryan Leaf and Rick Mirer comparisons are very premature.

7. Cleveland Browns - RB C.J. Spiller, Clemson
Somebody tell me how going 9-23 in 2 yrs lands you a GM job?

8. Oakland Raiders – LT Russell Okung, Oklahoma State
Okung can open running lanes for McFadden and Michael Bush.

9. Buffalo Bills – OLB Derrick Morgan, Georgia Tech
Questionable fit but he’s a Chan Gailey recruit who met the staff.

10. Jacksonville Jaguars – DB Earl Thomas, Texas
Except for bouncing off WR’s (see Crabtree), Thomas is great.

11. Denver (from Chicago) – WR Dez Bryant, Oklahoma State
After dealing with Moss and Marshall, Bryant will be a breeze.

12. Miami Dolphins – DE Jason Pierre-Paul, South Florida
The Cowboys are working overtime just to deal this pick.

13. San Francisco 49ers – LT Bryan Bulaga, Iowa
So far, he looks much more like Jeff Backus than Matt Light.

14. Seattle Seahawks – RB Ryan Mathews, Fresno State
Like Clausen, Mathews was recruited to play at USC.

15. New York Giants – LT Anthony Davis, Rutgers
Selecting a big LT would allow the Giants to juggle their line.

16. Tennessee Titans – NT Dan Williams, Tennessee
Williams finally fills the void left by Albert Haynesworth.

17. San Francisco 49ers – CB Joe Haden, Florida
If Haden is off the board, the ‘9ers will reach for Wilson.

18. Pittsburgh Steelers – WR Demaryius Thomas, GT
Santonio Holmes was shipped to the Jets. Thomas steps in.

19. Atlanta Falcons – DE/LB Brandon Graham, Michigan
The Falcons are zeroing in on a pass rushing ‘tweener.

20. Houston Texans – RT Trent Williams, Oklahoma
Versatility and athleticism but questions have him dropping.

21. Cincinnati Bengals – TE Jermaine Gresham, Oklahoma
The Bengals have become the king of boom or bust players.

22. New England – OLB Jerry Hughes, TCU
Hughes is a poor man’s Lawrence Taylor, minus the problems.

23. Green Bay Packers – TE Rob Gronkowski, Arizona
The Packers targeted TE Brandon Pettigrew last year.

24. Philadelphia Eagles – CB Kyle Wilson, Boise State
The Eagles want to lineup a top RCB opposite Asante Samuel.

25. Baltimore Ravens – DT Jared Odrick, Penn State
Odrick looks similar to a young, versatile Richard Seymour.

26. Arizona Cardinals – LT Charles Brown, USC
Solid but unspectacular, Brown just gets the job done.

27. Dallas Cowboys – LB Rolando McClain, Alabama
Chrohn’s Disease? Winded at Pro Day? ILB’s fall anyway.

28. San Diego Chargers – OL Mike Iupati, Idaho
The Bolts are High Rollers when it comes to the draft.

29. New York Jets – LB Sean Weatherspoon, Missouri
Weatherspoon can eventually play a Ray Lewis type role.

30. Minnesota Vikings – CB Devin McCourty, Rutgers
McCourty is a do-it-all type who can fill a lot of holes.

31. Indianapolis Colts – LT Rodger Saffold, Indiana
Saffold is under the radar but best after Okung and Williams.

32. New Orleans Saints – LB Daryl Washington, TCU
Washington is one of the few LB’s who can play every down.

Round 2

33. St. Louis Rams – DE Everson Griffen, USC
Opposite Chris Long, Griffen may finally go full throttle.

34. Detroit Lions – RB/WR Dexter McCluster, Mississippi
The tiny do-it-all Barry Sanders-wannabe gets the early call.

35. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – DT Brian Price, UCLA
McCoy and Price could form a duo unlike any other before.

36. Kansas City Chiefs – LB Sean Lee, Penn State
Lee could push Mike Vrabel into retirement or back to NE.

37. Philadelphia Eagles – FS Taylor Mays, USC
Desperately thin at S, the Eagles gladly gamble on Mays.

38. Cleveland Browns – QB Tim Tebow, Florida
The Browns, Bills and Redskins prefer Tebow to Clausen.

39. Oakland Raiders – OLB Jamar Chaney, Mississippi State
Chaney has jumped from a 4th rounder to a rising 2nd rounder.

40. San Diego Chargers – DE/DT Tyson Alualu, Cal
There’s an awful lot to like about this versatile, tough athlete.

41. Buffalo Bills – QB John Skelton, Fordham
Make no mistake; the Bills are swinging for the fences this year.

42. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – DE Carlos Dunlap, Florida
Stats show that the Bucs frequently tend to draft home boys.

43. Denver Broncos – OG/C Maurkice Pouncey, Florida
Pouncey would be a stabilizing force upon a very shaky line.

44. New England Patriots – RB Anthony Dixon, Mississippi State
He’s a replacement for Corey Dillon and the next Shonn Greene.

45. Denver Broncos – CB Kareem Jackson, Alabama
Champ Bailey is getting up in years. Jackson can take over.

46. New York Giants – TE Aaron Hernandez, Florida
Kevin Boss hasn’t quite filled the shoes of Jeremy Shockey.

47. New England Patriots – DB Kam Chancellor, Virginia Tech
Chancellor will be used in a hybrid Rodney Harrison type role.

48. Carolina Panthers – WR Golden Tate, Notre Dame
The endless search for help opposite Steve Smith goes on.

49. San Francisco 49ers – DE/LB Koa Misi, Utah
Sub par sack total and previous back injury are concerns.

50. Kansas City Chiefs – OLB Lindsey Witten, UConn
Witten worked with Romeo Crennell and fits a major need.

51. Houston Texans – CB Patrick Robinson, FSU
Adding a starting caliber CB and Safety will go a long way.

52. Pittsburgh Steelers – RB Jahvid Best, California
The Steelers may see in Best another “Fast Willie” Parker.

53. New England Patriots – LB Kion Wilson, South Florida
Wilson will compete for time inside alongside of Mayo.

54. Cincinnati Bengals – RT John Jerry, Mississippi
He’s an inside-outside guy who gives them some options.

55. Philadelphia Eagles – RB Toby Gerhart, Stanford
Gerhart helps to replace Westbrook as the feature back.

56. Green Bay Packers – FS Nate Allen, South Florida
The Packers secondary needs a serious shot of youth.

57. Baltimore Ravens – TE Dennis Pitta, BYU
The Ravens continue to surround Joe Flacco with talent.

58. Arizona Cardinals – WR Arrelius Benn, Illinois
Benn’s Boldin-esque ability after the catch is intriguing.

59. Dallas Cowboys – OL Vlad Ducasse, UMass
Filling the shoes of Flozell Adams will be no easy task.

60. Seattle Seahawks – OL Zane Beadles, Utah
Beadles is another good fit for a zone blocking scheme.

61. New York Jets – DE Ricky Sapp, Clemson
If not for the injury history, he’d go to the Jets in round 1.

62. Minnesota Vikings – NT Terrence Cody, Alabama
Cody will push Pat Williams into retirement and quickly.

63. Indianapolis Colts – CB Amari Spivey, Iowa
Spivey joins ex-Hawkeye, Bob “Hitman” Sanders, on Colts.

64. New Orleans Saints – DE Sergio Kindle, Texas
Quite possibly this year’s version of last year’s Everette Brown.

53. New England Patriots – LB Kion Wilson, South Florida
Wilson will compete for time inside alongside of Mayo.
I don't know what reference sources you are using, but for the second round in particular... :nooo:

22. Too early for NE, the kid is too raw.

44. NFL Draft Scout projects him late third/early fourth; Pro Football Weekly projects him mid fifth; Rich Gosselin doesn't have him in his top 100. His running style is not a fit for NE's current zone blocking scheme.

47. NFL Draft Scout projects him late third/early fourth; Pro Football Weekly projects him late fifth; Rich Gosselin doesn't have him in his top 100.

53. Ran a 5 second 40. NFL Draft Scout has him as a 7-PFA; Pro Football Weekly have him as a PFA; Rich Gosselin doesn't have him in his top 100.

I'm using the Pro Football Weekly value chart they put together based on feedback from league personnel. Rich Gosselin's top 100 is also put together based on his contacts in the NFL.

I agree,this is a miserable mock.

I always respect the details of the people who work hard on mocks as well as those who respond intelligently.. my brain cannot absorb most of it, never mind remembering the details..

Is that your mock or did you source it somewhere.

If our 2nd round looks like that I will cry

so you have what most people see as one of the top de/olb in Kindle passing us 4 times and going to hte bottom of the 2nd round. did i slide to another dimention or something

Us taking Tebow @22 & throwing darts at Gosslins top 100 for our other 3 picks would be better than this mock. Epic fail. :bricks:

I'm glad it's not just me... the rest of you have said it kinder and gentler than my initial reaction...

This mock really sucks.

As per usual, My2cents steals time from us and makes us dumber for it.. :bricks:

When will we learn???
