Re: Logan Mankins signs tender

People screaming for him to be benched or inactive are extremely irrational. Please explain your logic as to how making him inactive improves the NEP.

Re: Logan Mankins signs tender

Do you think him reporting early means he has spoken with the Pats and was assured he will be active on Sundays? I can't imagine why he'd report early if he thought the Pats would just be benching him the rest of the year anyway.

Re: Logan Mankins signs tender

Cool - that's great.

Hey, he can help the team. The line has been hot and cold, and depth is always a benefit. It will only help down the road. As noted, especially against Pittsburgh.

Give him a week, then start to rotate him in.

Re: Logan Mankins signs tender

I've been one of the bigger Mankins critics here, but I'm willing to hear him out over the next couple of days. The timing of this announcement is interesting, I have to say.

Re: Logan Mankins signs tender

Why is everybody so eager to "punish" Mankins by sitting him? Once he's ready to help, it would punish the team more than Mankins himself.

The Patriots already made their stand. They wouldn't cave, ran up the league's best record without him, and now it appears he's reporting earlier than strictly required. Message sent, now let's play football!

This.

Well, I'm off to start a thread about Moss being waived.

Re: Logan Mankins signs tender

The idiot turned down a reported $35M 5 yr contract to play a sport, in the middle of a near depression. On Principle. What Principle? I'm a gready spoiled ***** out of touch with reality.

He hasn't practiced a single minute in months. I don't see him making this line better for at least a month.

Trade him to Buffalo for a bag of used practice balls, let him see what its like to win 10 games in the next 5 years.

screw him.

Does he make the Patriots better?

Answer: Yes.

Case closed.

Maybe because he knows he wont start as soon as he comes back and wants to be a starter for the Steelers and Colts games

Re: Mankins to report tomorrow. Shaving handlebar mustache to show he means business

Boy I sure hope he can help us salvage the season.

Re: Logan Mankins signs tender

Because he wants to be here.

Clearly by reporting three weeks early, Mankins is sending the message that he doesn't want to be here

In terms of big deal news, it's been a crazy 4 weeks. I don't think I've stopped refreshing my computer.

Re: Logan Mankins signs tender

Hes watched this whole Randy Moss fiasco and now realizes maybe this is a good place to play and 35 mill is probably enough money to live on.

Re: Logan Mankins signs tender

Fitzy criticized his principles and his woodsman look :p

Re: Logan Mankins signs tender

If he's willing to work his ### off and can help this team, why not play him. Milk him for every penny we are paying him.

In BB we trust, I'm interested to see how much (or how little) he'll be used.

Because it sends the message that you can't screw over the team and then just stroll back in a couple months later like everything's OK. Letting Mankins just walk back in like nothing happened only increases the chances of this happening again.
