What Does This Win Mean?

Lol at all the wet blankets that think this is just another win. This game was another huge confidence builder for a young team.

IMO turning point of game was rookie Cunningham baiting vet McClain into a personal foul. That speaks volumes to a young D growing up.

It means yhat when young, talented players start executing what smart coaches are teaching them, the sky's the limit.

(oh wait I forgot, BB and O'brien are idiots...never mind).

I tell you that this is what has me absolutely giddy right now. The young D showed that they have been paying attention and, when they start executing more consistently, they'll be a tough group to play against. The Ravens had no answer for them in the 4th and 5th quarters. I am excited about the group right now. They'll still have their growing pains, but they look like they're going in the right direction.

Yeah, this was not just another win. This was bigger than that. In a week where the team lost their biggest offensive threat and everyone was doubting them, they came out and executed when it mattered most. I think they had something to prove to themselves, and they did just that today with the win. It is just one game, but it was a HUGE win. The defense especially has to be much more confident going forward. Another aspect of the game that I think will got unmentioned is the play of the O-Line. Yeah, Brady went down a few times and there were a few "Todd" Light penalties, but the line held up well more often than not.

Hey, don't want to be the "responsible" guy here, but remember the Cincinatti game, we thought we were the best team in the league, that we were going to crush the Jets, and we lost. Our team does look good, but take it easy.

Cincinnati sucks. Baltimore does not. That's the difference. That doesn't mean we'll win next week, but today showed a lot.

Well, how could the fact that we went on to lose a road game because we turned it over then won 3 in a row, including road game in Miami (who just beat GB) mean feeling postive after the Cincy win was wrong?

This win means that the Pat's can play with anybody if they play Patriots football, but next week they have to do it again..

It means that this team has a legimate chance to win it all if the offensive playcalling can get out of it's own way.

Means were moving on and its our 5th game of the season, and they all get tougher from here.

It means that a Denver win will put the Patriots in first place in the AFCE.

Simple question: Does this win put New England in the class of the "elite?"

means we are 4-1 and won vs a good team. i really dont care if people call us elite/avg whatever. heck the 2003 teams never got the respect they deserved when they won -everytime people said, they have no HOF players :"but just dont make mistakes". of course now everyone cries about rodney, bru etc . So screw whoever makes these rankings and classifications

It means when the media talks about Elite teams, the Patriots probably have a seat at their table...no big deal on that.

I would think, for the younf guys on the team, that they are learning what it means to play in BBs defensive scheme and they are buying into it. I love the speed they are playing at.

And how much will Merriweather's fine be? 15k (as Heap made it back inthe game..I was thinking 25k if he had to stay out).

We were in the top 6 in the league before the game. We are in the top 6 after the game. If being in the top 6 qualifies for this year's elite, then we were and are an elite team.

In the end, a win is a win. We went 3-1 in the first quarter of the season, and have a fine start on the second quarter

Merriweather fine should be at least 15k. Inexcusable. If sanders gets healthy wouldn't surprise me if BB took internal disciplinary action.

if you listened to tom waddle and jamie dukes just now they said baltimore was tired after playing 3 road gams and pats were fresh. they also pointed out tate who was the supposed replacement of moss had 3 catches. very simllar reactions when they won those 2003 games...

I'm betting the Ravens' players aren't making that excuse. Flacco was having a field day against the defense (early on). I wonder what his numbers looked like from 4th quarter on.

It MEANS... we now have the exact location of Dr. Evil's lair!

Great game today. I've never been a fan of the heart attack game, but the win was huge! Welcome back Mr. Branch, please stick around this time...

Agreed! BALT went on the road and played against one of the elite teams in the league even for 4 1/2 quarters.

It means this puppy will be on the NFLN replay.

......yesssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!

It means our D is starting to make plays.....:rocker:

It means I get to have fun this week living in Raven's country......

Totally agree.

I hope it was just one of those things where the angles they were coming from made it look more intentional than it was (trying to propel himself sideways sort of thing), but he's got a big fine coming either way.
