Week 3 Jets vs Dolphins game thread

Their sound and video never synch. Its annoying to watch the pregame and halftime show when everyone's lips are a second behind what I hear.

Weird, I'm in Canada watching and have no issues like these.

They are playing the Jets so it is doubtful.

The main problem I have is for people who come to this country and have no respect for our culture or heritage. I do believe that people should learn the language of the country they are immigrating to. I understand all the arguments for having a multi-lingual country and using other countries as examples. My problem with this is that it isn't address the problem. Now, my beliefs may be off base, but I think the problem ISN'T with culture, it's with people flat out being too lazy to learn a new language and expecting US (the people who have been here for many generations) to change our language to suit them. THAT is where I have a problem.

I don't think this way because I'm "racist" or anything, I simply want to protect what little culture we have to NOT reward people who don't want to assimilate. My attitude is that if you don't like our Culture or the language we speak, why are you here? I have no problem with helping people learn English, but allowing them to not even bother learning it, that I do have a problem with.

What you don't seem to get is that we dont have a language. So no they are not being lazy because they have no reason to learn English when everything is in Spanish. Other cultures have to because they don't translate in Chinese or Korean or German. Blame the government for not having an official language.

I get what you are saying, but then shouldn't we then be speaking Mohawk or Cree?

i think you started us off on this tangent for a silly reason. All they're doing is celebrating diversity, just like we celebrate black history month. Spanish isn't taking over. Lets just enjoy the football game.
