OT: The Jets are horrible

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

Was looking forward to seeing Hitman Harris and sg3 post after the Jest suck fest. Of course those two idiots run and hide.

If you go to JI often, you'll quickly see their posts.

Funny, both of these blowhard morons are nowhere to be found this morning. If the Green Beans had won, you know they would be out chest thumpings and calling out all Pats fans on how the Jests are going to kill us next Sunday.

Chicken Chit Losers....LMFAO!:bricks::rocker::bricks:

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

The Jets will have to test our run defense which may be suspect. Unfortunately for them, Sanchez does not appear to have the skills to exploit us if we load up on them at the LOS. I could see them scoring 17 points against us, but that is unlikely to be enough. Shotty's playcalling looks safe and anemic ... or maybe that was Sanchez. Looks like a chicken or the egg dilemma and not sure which one is most to blame here.

Their CBs looked bad against the Ravens. Unless Revis is back (I have not been following is status), then the Jets are in for a long night of Tom Brady passing all over them. Their team was undisciplined in their first game. There will lose often if that is not corrected.

On the bright side for the Jets, their defense is still good, their run D in particular looked great even without Jenkins, their punter is awesome, their punt returner looks good, they still have a great pass rush, and their running offense is probably better than it looked considering the Ravens are always tough to run on.

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

I think this can be brought up. 100% serious.

Who is the better QB?

Undrafted Hoyer, or pick #5 Sanchez? Both 2nd year quarterbacks. I'm seriously thinking I'd rather have Hoyer.

Revis played last night. Rarely if ever did Flacco throw against him.

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

All these posts and views about another team? You guys think about the Jets too much--there's a lot more interesting (and better) teams in the league if that's what you're into. But this is a Pats board. Reminds me of Yankees fans "hating" the Red Sox when all the Yankees ever did was beat them. It's lame.

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

From what I saw last nite, Jets don't fall in the "suck" category, there's no name for being lower

They are our rivals, our next opponent and also the most hyped team in recent memory. This kind of reaction is more than expected.

Oh, please. Our "next opponent?" There's about a half dozen threads on the first page here. Hey, have fun bashing them. I just think that the obsessive nature of it gives that team a lot more attention than it deserves, or that's interesting to me.

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

You spent the last few weeks watching the Jets on Hard Knocks. Now watch the Jets take one from Ray Lewis in Monday Night's 10-9 loss to the Ravens.

Err...I think this is pretty much the week to talk about them. I think about half the posts in this thread are about how we match up against them for next week. I think you might be trying too hard the other way. Last week your post might have made sense, this week not so much.

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

Anemic Final Drive
Jets ended up turning the ball over on downs when tight end Dustin Keller caught a ball running toward the sideline and neglecting to make an easy necessary stretch for a first down.

You're right this would be the week to talk about them. You're wrong about the threads being about how the Pats match up. There are tons of threads/post about the Jets all the time. Seems lame to me--I just don't think about the Jets that much.

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

Sanchez played how many seasons in at USC? This season would basically be his JR. season in school. The Jets were crazy to draft him that high. He should be riding the bench somewhere for at least 2-3 seasons.

You are 100% correct. Well said. He has a long way to go and is on a very short leash with a very limited play book. That offense almost won that game as bad as they were. Turnovers created by the D, short field helped by good ST play all are big factors. The offense is a wip for now.

I'm not sure I understand your point. Why make that post this week? Do you think people shouldn't post about the Jets this week? I mean you are you to pretend like there isn't a game and overlook Jets threads this week because they are "lame"?

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

I'm embarrassed for you.

Why? Because he admitted what you refuse to believe? Because he actually has the balls to come into the lion's den and admit that his beloved team isn't the greatest team this year?

The one who should be embarrassed is you.

Woah, let's hit the brakes here. Give him time... We can't have the whole lot of them convert after week 1, can we?

No conversion necessary, personal integrity is more like it.

I think my first go-round was a poor choice of words. Here's another try: "We can't have the whole lot of them realize it's hopeless and s.t.f.u. after week 1, can we? Half the fun of Week 2 would be gone..."

Oh now that we can all agree on... :rocker:

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

I tend not to draw too many conclusions about teams following Week 1

It's a 1 point difference and one of the teams is going to be on the losing end

The Jets agressive swarming agressive defense is their greatest strength and liability... their coaching obviously isn't good enough to teach them how to channel that high level of energy without committing costly penalties or taking stupid gambles.

If they can eliminate penalties they'll be a formidable defense, but I suspect even if that happens Belichick can adapt and find the weakness in such an agressive defensive stance.

The Jets offense was bound to be meidiocre in general - and that much more so against a team like the Ravens.

All that being said, the prospect of watching Rex Ryan belatedly gain the title of The Biggest Loser and starting off 0-2 is wonderful to relish.

anyone who saw the pats after week 1 in 2003 probably thought the same thing about the pats.lots of football to play
