Even Terrence Wheatley and Wilhite is fine by me... Wheatley and 6th would be better even.

It will give us a true power running back since Corey Dillon, i would like to see him as a Pat... he is even younger by a couple of years than Dillon was when we traded a 2nd for him.

Wheatley has been reported, by all accounts, to be having a very good camp. Not sure how much better McGahee makes our RB by committee. He's slipped a bunch since his Buffalo days.

If it's McGahee, I spent too many years deriding the guy to like him as a player but if BB sees that Taylor is done I'd trade 5th CB Wilhite, NOT Wheatley based on this camp, for him to see if he has one more year as a banger.

I'm not sure Arrington can't at CB. Not that he's shown he can play CB but so far it's incomplete.

I'm sure Willingham may not even make the squad, since he is a rookie, but I think Arrington is above both W's on the depth chart, because of his considerable ST contributions.

Trading Wilhite for just about anybody would be considered a fair trade. However, McGahee would do terrible with the Pats. In Baltimore, they run the ball a lot. But McGahee struggled and ultimately lost his job to Ray Rice.

I must have traded for Corey Dillon over a hundred times thru the years in Madden before it actually went done for real, I was so pumped that day. Because he was perceived as a malcontent I think Madden made it easier to trade him and during the Antoine Smith days we were a good back away from being unbeatable in Madden and as it turned out close to unbeatable in real life with him too (at least the first year).

As to this trade it seems close enough to fair value wise but I just don't like giving up the youth that BB has groomed for an average back near the end of his career.

To me what we hoped Wheatly or Whilhite would become when we drafted Wheatly in the 2nd rd and then when the 4th rder looked better than Wheatly we all got excited about Whilhite and sure there have been plenty of reasons to curb the enthusiasm I just don't want to give up on that potential for what we know McGahee is. I will role the dice that one of these guys turns the corner but even if Whilhite keeps on his same track he is more than a capable back up (how many teams in the league have a back up that has started and had moderate success enough where I think we can win despite him if injuries mounted).

Whilite and Wheatley are both unproven, basically the equivalent of rookie CBs. McGahee is a proven RB who has produced when healthy. If anything we would have to give Baltimore our CB plus a pick in that situation given he's healthy right now.

I think we're fine at each position as is and should just leave things the way they are. I'd like to see both Wheatley and Wilhite get one more year on this team to improve also I don't think either has reached their potential yet.

If we do have an extra CB it should be moved for a position where we need proven help like OLB, there's enough RB's right now

Seems like people are backing Brace even though he barely did anything last year (and to be honest, there is nothing wrong with that). We have a guy in Wilhite that played well enough to leapfrog a couple CB's in his first 2 seasons, stayed healthy and continues to work hard... and we want to trade him? I equate this guy to James Sanders... he may not have the ceiling that we want him to have, but we take for granted that come playoff time we won't have to resort to an Earthwind Moreland if a CB or 2 go down with injury (knock on wood).

He is the 2nd best player that we got out of the 2008 draft. Do these names ring a bell?... Wheatley, Crable, O'Connell, Slater, Ruud. That alone doesn't mean we shouldn't trade him, but I believe he deserves more credit and think he still has room for improvement.

Besides, I would give 2:1 odds that McGahee gets injured in his first 3 games if he comes here. That's just the feeling I get.
