BB has not blown an entire draft. People like yourself should know wtf they are talking about before posting..

Chad Jackson was ONE player. A 2nd round pick. That is a LOT different than the #6 OVERALL.
Hes a Rats fan what do you expect?

All you got out of the draft was a kicker.

The draft was absolutely horrid.

I look at the 2009 Jets, and see a running team. I see (and I read analysis of film study) that says his stregnth was the he was the blocker at the point of attack that gave your running game the most success.

How come the Jets were first in the league running to the right side, away from
the turnstile at left guard, and seventeenth when running towards the left side?
Per football outsiders.

How is that for objective?

Amazing analysis. I'm glad you know how Wilson and Ducasse will play so I don't have to wait to watch the games and find out.

Ducasse = whiny baby who BEGGED to be moved to guard during so that he wouldn't look so horrible during the Senior Bowl.

I said before that I felt that Ducasse would, at best, be a JAG.

I wonder who is the top paid LT in the league and how D Brick's new extension ranks among all left tackles.

Seems he should be getting top 10 money to me, as I see him as a top 10 LT.

I would rank him around the # 7 best LT in the league, that is of course just a guess and me speculating.

Then factor in he is never hurt and has started every game since being drafted, has improved every year, and is a good citizen off the field.

I like him better then light, Miami has the best LT in the division, maybe in all of football, NUm Nutz in Miami has a nasty streak which I like, D Brick has no nasty or very little.

A LT in your division inks an 8 year deal that averages out to under $10 per season.

Without seeing the structure, I'm sure it has the 8th year at somewhere between $10-13 million which he'll never see.

So basically, he signs a 7 year $60-63 million dollar deal and you Pasterisk fans have somehow decided you're excited about it.

It also pulls leverage away from Revis' argument that the Jets don't take care of their own, they signed their 2nd rounder today so are obviously in the midst of doing deals and whose to say Mangold isn't next?

Seems rather obvious he is.

But you spin doctors continue to pretend this is an exciting day in Pasterisk history.

Best of luck.

First, you assume he won't see the last year of his deal, but that isn't a given.

Second, I argue this may give Revis more leverage. Revis is their best player. Ryan has said Revis could be the Jets' Tom Brady. The Jets just gave Ferguson the biggest contract in terms of guaranteed money for a LT in league history. Revis can now say that since he is more important to the team than Ferguson, the Jets should pay him and pay him top dollar.

Third, Ferguson was a disapointment up until last year. No one knows what the loss of Faneca is going to do for him since he was horrible before him. Faneca could have been a major reason why Ferguson got into the Pro Bowl this year.

Fourth, who says Mangold is next. The Jets said Revis was first. It seems that when contract discussions broke down with Revis, they went after Mangold to sign a deal. After those discussions broke down, Ferguson got a deal. The Jets may have only signed Ferguson because they knew a deal with Mangold and Revis wasn't going to happen. He was plan C.

Well, if you read the Football Outsiders write up you will see that they credit Faneca as the pulling G (their favorite player) as the primary reason for those stats.

Everything.

And I maintain this, you are the least objective poster I've ever seen on a football message board. I'm sure Rexorcism agrees.

That is hilarious coming for you. YOUR lack of objectivity is the size of Mount Everest while Andy Johnson's is that of a Mountain in Texas.

Yeah starting RBs dont count. Picks who make the team and contribute dont matter.

lol.

The worst starting RB in the division.

And a bunch of JAGS who you continually replace with double digit picks each draft.

ESPN called it most ever for an OL today. Not sure if they meant the contract or the guarenteed money.
I don't share your opinion, I would put him middle of the pack, no way top 1/3 or 1/4 of LTs.
Light is a better LT, but during the length of the contract Ferguson will surpass him, although Vollmer may well turn out better than both of them.

No, I've debated with you a lot in the past, and it is pointless to do it again.

Sorry, but you've not shown that you know what a debate is. Never mind what objectivity is.

First, you assume he won't see the last year of his deal, but that isn't a given.

It's an assumption. But probably a correct one.

Second, I argue this may give Revis more leverage. Revis is their best player. Ryan has said Revis could be the Jets' Tom Brady. The Jets just gave Ferguson the biggest contract in terms of guaranteed money for a LT in league history.

Funny how that works. Usually when doing new deals, teams are constantly breaking records given that the cap is always increasing.

Revis can now say that since he is more important to the team than Ferguson, the Jets should pay him and pay him top dollar.

He was always going to get top dollar. Brick is making less than $10 per. Revis will make around $13 per.

Third, Ferguson was a disapointment up until last year. No one knows what the loss of Faneca is going to do for him since he was horrible before him. Faneca could have been a major reason why Ferguson got into the Pro Bowl this year.

Ferguson was a disappointment after his rookie season. Steadily increasing as a LT throughout the last four seasons. Favre holding onto the ball like a cowboy and a horrid pass blocker on the inside (great mentor though) didn't phase him the last two seasons. He's good. Very good.

The Jets gave Revis a shot. They never promised him he'd sign the deal they gave him. They just said they'd provide one.

They never went to Mangold by the way. They haven't contacted his agent. Don't believe me? Ask Nick Mangold. He's said it directly to the press.

Funny how you chowders keep going on and on about sh!t you have no idea about.

You considering Faneca the Jets' best OL when he was the worst.

Not objective.

Faneca wasn't the worst Jet's O-lineman in either year he was with the Jets. In 2008, that honor still went to D'Bust. And in 2009, that was your RG. Instead of making stuff up, why don't you provide some actual FACT isn't of your unsupported OPINION.

By what measure is Maroney the worst RB in the division? I think right now it is solely based upon you being a Jet fan posting on a Patriot board.

Those JAGS make up DEPTH. Your team could spend some time learning what that means.

Andy, what do you think the Jets' record will be this year?

That is asking for an OPINION. Which is SUBJECTIVE. Not OBJECTIVE.

The Jets won't win more than 9 games, btw.

All of the Patriots RBs had a higher YPC than LT last season...

Jets have a deeper secondary.

The rest is debatable. Whose scrubs (kidding) are better? Don't care to debate it.

Please don't try to tell me there's another teams starter you think Maroney is better than?
