Don't give in too easily. I thought Teel was an excellent prospect coming out of Rutgers. I liked Rowe a lot too, but I think Teel is better. He'll benefit from some consistent coaching.

Incidently, did anybody read the story on JeMarcus Russell today (I don't remember where I saw it...I'll look for it shortly and post the link).

There was a bit about Andrew Walter, and when he came here he didn't last, because the Patriots figured it would take too long to undo all the bad habits he picked up from the Raiders. Good perspective of just how much poor coaching can hurt a promising career. After Petrino left Louisville, Teel regressed badly.

Teel has terrible footwork and throws more twice as many picks as he should just by trying to force the ball into spots he shouldn't and making bad reads. He has those "wtf was he thinking" moments and I wouldn't trust him with the ball in the clutch. If he didn't throw as many picks I'd call him a game manager but I cant because you never know what your going to get. Now this kid Tom Savage they have this year is really somebody to keep an eye on. The WR Sanu as well. The best skill position players RU has had since Rice left. They should be a force in the big east.

I don't think Mike Teel played anywhere but Rutgers where he led them to three bowl games. He was a 6th rounder las year and better 4th arm than Rowe. As the article said, he will have an opportunity to compete for backup reps with Hoyer and Robinson. He will also compete for a Practice Squad spot.

No, Teel played for Rutgers his entire career. Schiano was his coach every season, and is a FoBB.

That's what I thought, too; maybe Uncle Heatster was just having a Senior Moment, though I do agree with him & others who feel that Teel is an upgrade from Rowe.
My question is: Is Zac Robinson an upgrade from Rowe?

Yeah...and even worse is that I didn't even give it a second thought when it hit me this morning. I think I switched from Teel to Brohm mid-thought. Apologies.
