OT: Jets "confident" they won't have blackouts

that is precisely what i'm saying. imagine you buy a psl, spend 4k for it, then another 2k on tickets. then after all that, you find out that seats in the rows below you are open to buy because the jets could not sell the psls. how pissed would you be that you spent that money and didn't wait it out?

You shouldn't be pissed because the PSL gives you the right to guarantee the seats you got.. Where as there is no guarantee for the people wanting tickets..

If you get pissed over it, then your foolish.

Ah, the dream scenario for September begins to form...

The overhyped Jets lose to the Ravens in their Monday night Home opener and then, still reeling, are taken out by the Pats after a short week. They go down to Miami to play in the Dolphins' Home opener. The Dolphins, having already defeated Buffalo, pound the Jets, seizing the opportunity to go two games up on their rival in the AFC....leaving them 0--3.

Wrecks blames the whole thing on his stomach surgery and the Sanchize begins wearing disguises in Manhattan...Woody's PSL sales tank and the Jets face the prospect of six consecutive blacked out Home games...

really...trying to figure this out hurts my head...when did it all go so wrong in this country when a family man can't afford to take his kids to see any of the four major sports ?

When the people felt that seeing these guys was more important than paying their mortgage, car payment, etc..

i know if the jets don't live up to jets' fan's lofty expectations, there will be plenty of blackouts during jets games and they will all be alcohol related.

lol!!!!!!!!

The better scenario is when all those PRIME SIDELINE SEATS (overpriced PSLs) are sold as single-game tickets and get snagged by fans of the visiting team. Thousands of Pats fans descend on the Meadowlands and create a home-team atmosphere, heckle the Green Beans bench, etc. The Angry Fire Elf is surrounded by Pats fans who force him to sit down and shut up. The Jersey offense false starts because of crowd noise. All because of corporate greed.

It shouldn't come as a suprise that the Jets are having trouble selling PSL's. There aren't a lot of booming New Jersey based businesses in this economy. The businesses that ARE booming in Jersey, such as hair gel companies and spray tanning booth manufacturers, are typically outsourced.

Stop it. This is like reading great football porn!

So signing the Crybaby didn't help sell PSL's like Woody planned. Great football move on the Jets' part. LOL. The strength of last years team, the running game, is going to suck this year without T Jones and Leon Washington. Let's see, if the overrated Shonn Greene were to get hurt, they have.........Ldt (?).

Ldt is going to be crucified by the NY media as his YPC plummets again this year [to below 2] and his his patented starts. opcorn:

Well 74, thats precisely what will happen.

No Braylon thug Edwards or Santurdio for the Ravens game due to suspensions. Playing the Ravens first game is very significant because they run the defense that Fatso brought to the Jets. The Ravens know how to defend it and turn it against the Sancheeze.

How much do you want to bet Fatso and the Jests will run their mouths about the Patriots in Hard Knocks? Week 2 is the perfect opportunity for Brady and Moss to shut them up in the brand new house.

Its going to be great watching the meltdown.

Considering what Moss was unable to do last year in two games against the Jets, I'd put my money on the other receivers in our offense shutting the Jets up. I do agree that they'll probably start 0-3 though.

When did Edwards get suspended?

I understand it is possible, just did not realize he had been suspended.

Hard Knocks will be a good watch this year.

no,no,no...you got it all mixed up...he got SUSPENDERS...to hold up his pants pockets all weighed down with that moolah he robbed from Tannendunce...and BTW, the Rats don't make me horny, they make me homicidal..:violent::violent::violent:

====================================

So the jets make you horny, interesting...

I have to admit the thought of Woodys team losing three straight to open the year and that followed by what I think will be an 8-8 season which will bring with it a slew of blackouts and seats available for all out of towners gives me a woody!!

Seriously, Gunnails, the pressure Woody and the fatman have brought to your team this year is going to make for a very bad scene when it all unfolds poorly for you.

Oh wait, I forgot, you already won the division in April and the Superbowl for this upcoming year on May day.

I do believe there is decent talent on your team, it is also the norm for a team to have a very good year and then a mediocre one once the become the hunted. AT that point, teams can and often do go on a run of successful seasons, sometimes with a championship or two. However, I think you guys got carried away and sold your souls for one year - bad move.

The Jets were supposed to win the division in 2007 and the Super Bowl in 2008 and 2009. They're always the offseason champions.

I am not positive, but I believe Edwards is earning less then a Million next season. I believe Cromartie, Holmes and Edwards are all under a Mil. in this there contract year.
