Well it's a bit early to say this but I feel the need here.

Is it almost safe to say that Scott Pioli somehow restrained Bill Belichick?

I always wondered why they both drafted some players who appeared soft.

I'm not seeing Bill draft any players who appear soft.

I like Bill drafting better than when he had Pioli by his side.

Thoughts?

Yeah, that's an interesting question. Chiefs seemed to focus more on smaller, 'finesse' type players this year.

After the point of drafting "character" guys, why would the Patriots draft Blount now? really people need to think just a little bit (watch them go draft him)

Looking at this years crop and where they were picked makes Belichick look all the more genius in his Vollmer selection last year. This year he's a top 10-15 pick.
