Schefter says that at least one team had Bryant off their board because of an irregular heart beat, it addition to others having him off the board for character issues. Interesting.

Since I have one, I think this is strange. My doctor assures me that 25% of his patients have one.

How many of those 25% are playing in the NFL??

There have been PLENTY of kids who have died in the past 3 years who had heart conditions who had been "cleared" medically to play, yet that is what killed them..

Just came here to post that. Stuff like this is why it occurred to me about a half hour after the fact that getting mad is pointless: we just don't know what they know. I wanted Bryant, but just like I did a 180 on Kindle due to the knee issues, I'm a lot more okay with not taking Bryant now than I was yesterday.

Probably a great many but...

Irregular heartbeat is a common name for all sorts of irregularities. In my case, a valve doesn't quite close and I get a little backwash causing the heart to skip occasionally.

I was cleared for high school sports and college club sports all the time. So was my brother who had more of a sports career than I did.

If Dallas struggles this year, it's b/c they did NOT draft an OLman with the Bryant pick instead.

Even WITHOUT Bryant, the Dallas WR corps is very, very good(Roy W sucks, yes, but his backups are very, very good) - in the first place, JASON WITTEN is the key to that passing attack, and Romo sprays the ball around, so having a "stud" receiver is really moot.

Ultimately - you saw when Flozell Adams went down in the Vikings playoff game, the Dallas OL pass protection struggled big time. Jared Allen took Doug Free to the woodshed. Otherwise, we had receivers open ALL day.

WR is the most overrated position in all of the NFL.
Its easy to understand why, because they have a statistic next to their name that does the comparing to their peers for you. Somehow that makes a lot of fans think that WR is more valuable than DT, CB, RT, etc, but it really isnt.
DE in the 43 and OLB in the 34 would be 2nd most overrated for the same reason, with sack totals being the stat that tells one small part of the story of how well the player plays, but is abot the only yardstick in the evaluation of 95% of the fans.

Yep - look at McNabb's numbers with the Eagles all those years without a quality receiver(until the last 2 with Jackson, Maclin, and Celek). The big reason why McNabb put up Pro Bowl numbers was b/c Andy Reid built a LINE to PROTECT him.

On the contrary, Bill Parcells couldn't build a line in Dallas, and his QBs suffered(yeah, Vinny and Drew sucked, but even Brady couldn't have survived this OL - it was THAT bad).

Stats, especially WR stats are so dependant on who they play with, the scheme, etc.

Yeah right. YOUR doctor is the doctor for "a great many" of those 25% you claim he said have irregular heart beats.

It's always BS speculation with you. Never hard facts..

And, like I said, there have been plenty of kids in college over the last 3 years who have died because of an "irregular" heart beat even though they were medically cleared to play..

Your problem is that you haven't figured out how to read yet.

I wrote "probably a great many." Key word is probably. I don't see 25% of all kids taking up sports being sat by their doctors.

Nor did I say anything about having one doctor for the world.

And you're a hypocrite since your posts are total speculation 99% of the time, like your last BS post which stated we took McCourty for his kick return skills.
