Just say no to GOLDEN TATE! There's still value to be found further back, namely Jordon Shipley who is a better player WR than Tate if he can stay healthy.

I don't think hybrid WR/RB/H-Back/KR types like Tate fit the Pats' offense. I want a pure WR who is just a natural at doing all the things a great receiver does to get open and make plays on the ball. Plus, we probably don't need a kick returner now that McCourty is a Patriot.

I like Shipley, I think he's going to be a good WR for someone. However, he's a slot guy all the way and once Welker is back healthy, there would clearly be a log-jam at that spot.

He was lined up wide frequently last year and beat the coverage quite a few times for huge completions. I don't know his measurables and he's probably slow compared to guys like Benn, but I'm not sure I'd pidgeon-hole him as a pure slot receiver yet.

I love Shipley and honestly I hope I'm wrong and we can get him and he can make an impact. I just think in the NFL the slot is perfect for him. Great route running, great quickness, just doesn't have the high-end speed.

I don't want Gronkowski. He has a bad back in some reports and feel like we can get a TE much later in the draft who is comparable.

if the spinal stuff is true, I'd prefer that we pass on Gronkowski, and if we pick Taylor Mays I'd be upset.
