DRAFT
NEED: Tight end
WANTS: running back and wide receiver

I see no reason why the offense should be as good as 2009 with the addition of Holt. Brady will be healthier. Vollmer and Edelman have had a year of development. As of now we have a #4 and #5 in Tate and Patten. The #4 and #5 don't usually get many reps. Besides, we should have Welker for the playoff run.

Sure, we still need to sign a second tight end and we might bring in a running back to replace Morris or Green-Ellis. We are likely to bring in another wide receiver to compete for the bottom of the roster.

BOTTOM LINE
Our offense is fine for 2010.

with all the picks the pats have, there's no reason you can't get immediate contributors at all those positions as well as upgrading LB

this would put the team in fairly decent shape

We need a lot of work on offense.

Holt may make all the difference, I hope so, because the O we trotted out against Baltimore was a pop-gun offense, to put it mildly, and Brady against the Texans after Welker went down wasn't looking so hot either.

In other words, Holt better be the big difference, because as currently constituted, we're in big trouble until Welker gets back.

Should add that we need a guy to develop as a #2 type receiver to eventually take over for Holt. I'm fine as long as that guy is chosen tonight.

After Moss and his $10 million contract goes, we can use that money to sign a #1 guy.

We will likely re-sign Moss or Holt or a free agent for 2011; not to worry.

The deal with the offense is not with the present but the close future. We need to draft wrs so that they can be readywhen holt and moss are gone

a young power bak for the future would also be nice

chances are were drafting a te

I don't mind gettin the wrs and rb late in the draft just get a bunch and see who shows promise in camp

I think we're in decent shape with Moss/Holt and Edelman in the slot.
We're in good shape if Tate is healthy and able to step in a legit 4th option.
We're in great shape if Welker is back around midseason IMO in addition to Tate being a solid contributor.

TE will be addressed, not too worried there.
Could draft another WR to develop with Moss's contract being up next year.
