Re: Jason Taylor is a New York Jet - 1 Year $3.7M

jason taylor > pierre woods

Re: Jason Taylor is a New York Jet - 1 Year $3.7M

Banta-Cain: 4mil
Taylor: 3.75mil

I'd rather a vastly improved player in his prime than a stud WAY past his prime.

Re: Jason Taylor is a New York Jet - 1 Year $3.7M

Whatever. Jason Taylor is a hypocrite. One less roster spot for AD, one less LB they draft. Either way, win-win!

Re: Jason Taylor is a New York Jet - 1 Year $3.7M

Well he can go **** himself

Re: Jason Taylor is a New York Jet - 1 Year $3.7M

i don't think he has much left the jets paid all most 4 million for a guy that if he plays all 16 games wont have more then 6 sacks

Re: Jason Taylor is a New York Jet - 1 Year $3.7M

They can have that motherf***er

Re: Jason Taylor is a New York Jet - 1 Year $3.7M

IMO, our next two games against the Jets have become more tough now because Taylor knows a lot more about our offensive signals/play-calling than other players.

So the deal here is very simple. If LA had a team, JT would have signed there, since his future is celebrity bound. NYJ was the next option. Where can a former Dancing With the Stars bon vivant go in Boston? Nowhere. So, it's definitely on . . . JT taking up a position on the NYJs is good for the Pats. Let's hope he has his Redskins redux season. It's a role he fits into very well.

Yes, Jets fans like Gunnails and ramon will be thrilled

Ha ha... I can see Ramon's next thread; "Why can't our front office be more like the Jets front office. We're falling way behind! Hopefully our team wakes up before it's just too late. But I doubt it." :singing:

Hopefully it keeps the jets from taking an OLB in the first round allowing one more possibility to eventually get to us in the second.

I think you have Bingo-o-o! Celebrity must definitely be next on his list. Smart move on his part actually.

Otherwise, yeah, bring it JT.

Not sure what to think, but the Jets sure are being active.

Rex is building his Empire

Re: Jason Taylor is a New York Jet - 1 Year $3.7M

Another high profile move of questionable wisdom. The pressure on team and coach to win it all this season will be beyond measure.

In New York, the urgency makes sense, given all the attention that the Giants and Yankees have received over the last decade; even the Mutts went to the World Series a few years ago. With a strike/lockout likely in 2011, Woody Johnson is "all in" for 2010. It's Lombardi or bust, baby, and we all know they're gonna bust!

Get your tickets and popcorn; it's gonna be a spectacle for the ages.

Who will be the first to complain to the press about playing time or play calling? Holmes? Cromartie? Tomlinson? Taylor?

On whom will the fans and media turn first? Sanchez? Ryan?

What will be the first sign that Rex is melting down? A blubbering press conference? A visible fight with a player or coach on the sidelines like his Dad?

Clearly, it's all about selling PSLs. Really.

Re: Jason Taylor is a New York Jet - 1 Year $3.7M

Is it just 1 year @ 3.7M? NFL.com has it at 2 yr. 13M. That's hilarious if they paid him that much.

I don't know why the Jets had to go so high to sign him. Not once did I see any story linking him to anyone but the Jets, and it seems the Dolphins showed no interest in bringing him back.
