Brady "tossing the ball around" with Welker

Welker apparently is not human.

I think Welker preferred to pass the 'ball around' with those playboy girls last month

WTF!?!?!??!

How can Welker already be jogging around and stuff already?

And what about his torn shoulder problem? Shouldnt he be resting that too and not throwing?

My brother, father and I tossed the ball around on thanksgiving.

Since we all caught the ball without tearing an acl, should one of us apply for the WR2 or WR3 position even though our combined age is 200?

I heard Tom was a bit frustrated because Tom Jr. is cutting more crisply than Welker is now. haha, kidding

Maybe he could pull the miracle and be on opening day.

Does this change your draft if this is opening day?

Moss-Welker-Edelman-Tate

We might not need a WR in the first four picks. We could go DE, OLB, OL, RB

We still need to draft someone who can take over for Moss next year. Not to mention the fact that we cant count on Tate yet. Though i would still be smiling if they used all the pics on defense :D

It doesn't change our need at WR, unless you believe that Tate is 100% ready to produce in the NFL. I like him but I'd like to have some depth. Lining up a replacement for Moss would be ideal, but the 1st round WRs in 2011 look a better bet than any of this year's WRs.

Don't give innovative BB any more encouragement revolutionizinng the game by deploying fast, quick wideouts under 3 feet tall who scurry between the legs of frustrated CBs. You read it here 1st.

Although I am still hopeful that there is at least a chance that Welker is ready opening game, I don't really think this is really significant. Word was the tear of the rotator cuff was a minor concern at least compared to the ACL. Also, it has been what three months since Welker's surgery. He probably can do some stright line running at this point even if he wasn't going to play for most or all of the 2010 season. Look at Willis McGahee. He blew out all three ligaments in a Bowl game and was doing drills for scouts at this time the year he was drafted.

I kind of like this even if Wes won't be back for game 1, though I would prefer DE, OL, and 2 OLBs. Then draft three WR's in the 6th and 7th (plus maybe an UDFA), and let them fight it out for spots. Maybe we pick up our next Patten or Edelman, or get really lucky and land a Colston type.

Build the trenches and defense early, then play the numbers game on the skill positions late.

The idea of an offspring of Tom's being linked to "fast" and "quick" wideouts gave me a chuckle this morning. :D

Using this exact strategy is the only way I can see the Pats getting an immediate impact out of this draft. Hopefully Belichick sees it this way too. Otherwise the Pats might be in trouble.

Still, it's a good sign. Considering all Sanchise had was a d&c and he's still not running...;)

As I recall Tom said he was running and cutting on superbowl Sunday 2009, and that was after complications. I'm not expecting Welker back out of the gate, but I wouldn't put anything past him given where he emerged from to what he's become...

You are joking, right? This approach might have us actually being worse than we were last year. How can you count on Edelman, a guy who has played the WR position for less than a year in his entire football career? Yeah, it wouldnt surprise me if he his a contributor, but you cant count on it by any stretch of the imagination. Tate has had 2 serious knee injuries the past 2 seasons, how can you count on any production from him? Any production would actually be quite surprising.

Why would you completely waste our 6th and 7th round picks on WRs hoping to find diamonds in the rough like Colston was? The chances of this actually happening are slim to none and fans that are counting on it happening are being ridiculous. And why is the OL a major concern? Also, you dont even list TE and a possible draft position, you are satisfied with a 50 year old veteran in Crumpler.

My drafting needs (not really in order): OLB/DE, WR, TE, CB, LB
