Your Horror pick in round 1

If the Pats take Tebow, I can guarantee you that the Pats won't have any chance of going to the super bowl in 2010. But my horror pick would be Gresham or Odrick if there are better players available.

Hmmm...I suppose any pick that is a QB (Tebow), DB (Unless Haden/Berry falls...which they won't), or TE. (We need one, just not in the first)

I'd be happy with a WR, RB, DE, or OLB in the first.

Any db not named Hayden, Tebow, any OT, TE and Sapp who is useless vs. The run.

OT?,Seriously?

I would not be upset if we took an OL in round 1,Our OL could use some quality depth in protecting the Franchise player.

If it is an OL,I would think it would be for a guard-in-training

I see alot of Jason Pierre Paul, isn't he the top rated pass rusher? What's the issue?

How is he the top rated rusher? He goes high in a lot of mocks because people think some team will overdraft him based on his measurables and athleticism. That doesn't mean he's a great pass rusher (see Vernon Gholston, Jamaal Anderson, Gaines Adams).

Who knows if Adams would have improved on a better team if he had lived longer, R.I.P.

Why don't the Jets trade Gholston, I think he could be a great 4-3 DE, he was just a bust at 3-4 OLB.

Spiller or Jahvid Best. These two guys are way overrated. Both of them will be Jags at best in the nfl.

Dez Bryant but the Patriots would not be the stupid. Some fans might be but not the Patriots...gawd no.

Tebow would be awful also; maybe worse. At least he has a good attitude but BB will not look him before the 7'th. Maybe BB is trying to get Jacksonville to trade up with him...

Any offensive lineman - We can get them in later rounds. Tebow. We need Jerry Hughes!!

Any LB not named - McClain

Any DE, especially... JPP, Dunlap, Griffen and Kindle.

Any QB.... so yeah, no Tim "I can't throw" Tebow.

Any TE.... Gresham included.

Any WR.... Bryant included.

*add to this, how horrific would it be to trade up for one of these guys?!?!?

- Would prefer not having them draft an OT/G/C.

- Would have mixed emotions if they drafted a RB (after the Maroney Explosion).

- Drafting Kyle Wilson, Joe Haden or Devin McCourty would be interesting, but I would be upset that they wasted picks over the years on CBs with no success.

- Have my hopes on getting Odrick or trading out of the first round complete with a team that wants to get a first round OT before a team like Green Bay does.

Skilled positions scare me in round one. All of them, offensive and then "boom or bust" on defense; QB, RB, WR, LBs (OLB in particular), and DTs to some extent.

I hope they either trade out of round one or take a hit on something surefire, like (Odrick?)..

Any WR, or anyone from Florida.

None. I'm a blind Belichick fan. If he drafts Tebow, he has a plan for him.{just like God}.

If he drafts a Te like Gresham than he probably thinks he is a stud and will return to form.

If he drafts an OT or guard? Fine, BB's record for lineman in the first 2 rounds is flawless.

DT or DE? He's pretty good at this too. I still feel like Cody's name will be called pick 22, regardless of Wilfork having the spot. Odrick would be solid here as well.

Any LB? I'd be ecstatic because he must be good in BB's eyes if that happens.

See where I'm going? Whoever the pick is I think he is going to do fine as a Patriot.

McClain, Tebow, JPP, Clausen, Matthews, Sapp

I gotta admit, I like your reasoning here.... In BB we trust!

Since I don't worry about Tebow in round 1, my "horror" pick would be Ryan Mathews. I don't dislike the guy, I just don't see anything special about him. He ran well at the combine, but he is not a speed guy on the field. I don't want a RB in round unless he has elite qualities. If CJ Spiller was available at 22, I'd consider him because he's a gamebreaker. I'd still be somewhat hesitant due to his lack of size. It's entirely possible that Jahvid Best has a better career than CJ Spiller as both are blazing fast and have proven they can catch the ball. That's what makes RB such a tough position to draft. Not to mention the success stories found later in the draft or in UDFA. I think the people at UNC are still shocked that Willie Parker become a productive NFL back for several seasons.
