Re: How will resigning Brady impact PATS ability to afford talent at other positions?
No the point was they threw away a year 2006 when the guy was the best qb in the league and he proved it by almost getting to the Superbowl with sub standard Wr's and why because they "The Pats" always have to win at the bargaining table they let their ego get in the way of negotiating a fair deal with Branch and Givens. Don't you get it they won superbowls with those guys and haven't won since. Because they let these guys go they had to trade picks to get Welker and Moss wasted a 2nd rounder on Chad Jackson instead of drafting another young defensive player and imagine if they had kept Branch and Givens and added Welker. You see thats my issue with this team too many times the bottom line with this team is the almighty dollar. I used to go to their games when you could walk up to the ticket window at 12:00 the day of game and get great seats. I used to wonder what it would be like to have the best qb like "Montana" in the league on my team. I have that and I want more because those guys don't grow on trees and I think the Pats have not taken advantage of what they were given by the football gods. If you know anything about football the QB is the key and he has to have weapons.
How many more play makers did he need on offense? He had Moss, one of the top 3 greatest receivers ever to play. Welker, A 100+reception machine. This team lacked play calling in a big way and it showed last season. It sounds like you want to create an All Madden team and call it the Patriots.
