LT expected to sign with Jets - "done deal"

I'd rather see LT as the rats RB than Jones, i think at this point Jones is more dangerous. Although LT does make the rats a classier team.

At the very least we wouldn't have to worry about him helping them out in the playoffs if they make it.

doesn't seem to be a done deal. espn reported in the last hour that he's still making up his mind and that condon is talking to both teams. nothing in the new york press about it, other than as a hope. i think he's just trying to get the best deal he can get since it's not clear that either team is more likely to get him a Ring than the other. also, there's a story that he wants to talk to the Saints.

i agree with those who don't see this as an upgrade over Jones for the Jets. the schottenheimer connection might help tho.

The only crappy thing about LT signing, is IF he scores a touchdown, he'll do that idiotic "teardrop" TD celebration.

I would agree with this. Especially since Greene is still a bit of an unknown. Yes, he ran very well in the playoffs, but had some clunkers during the season and also hasn't proven he is durable to hold up for a 16 game season as a lead back.

Still hoping he picks Minnesota... I have read that LT still hasn't made his decision.

Marshall and the boys were talking LdT the other night and how hard it is to become a change of pace back when you're used to being in rhythm and in the flow of the game, which he can't do anymore either... Faulk said he could never get comfortable. It's not just ego, even if LdT is willing to accept that role, which they don't really think he is. Physically it's a skillset to be able to come off the bench cold and execute. Mentally it is as well since results are magnified with less carries, particilarly the unfortunate or disappointing results. LdT's history is when he gets disappointed or upstaged he slams the visor down and pouts.

And I'm not sure who changed the thread title but it's not a "done deal" per the same source who said it was about to be...and he got that word from LdT himself who says he still doesn't know what he's going to do. But I'm sure he's at least enjoying the attention.

Well, they may be right. I can't think of many good to great lead backs who became good to great 3rd down/change of pace RBs as their careers wound down.

yeah.......reminds of moss after he left the raiders......

randy moss was half-assing it for the horrible oakland raiders.

LT was on an elite 13-3 chargers team last season.

LT and his 2.0 YPC during their playoff loss last year cost them the game.

I guess we will just see.........keep praying

This just in. According to Schefter, LT has NOT made a decision on where to sign..

I loved LT when he 1st came into the NFL. Could see his exceptional talent. Liked the Bolts as a team, too. Then LT became the dominant RB. Sadly, as we saw more of him, his whiney personality revealed itself. Recently, the guy has been a wreck. You can still see flashes of extreme talent in his moves but time has exacted a terrible toll. Misses lots of hames with injuries. Gets very sulky when he's hurt or not playing well. Me, I realy hope the JESTs sign the 2010 version of LT, a player past his shelf life and gone sour.

you said in the other topic it would be a "perfect" fit and lt would split carries with greene.

lol
Splitting carries works for me. Ldt/Greene combo could average Maroney's 3.9 ypc ... as long as Greene gets 6 ypc...

Huh? moss had a bad 'tude on the raiders. talent wasnt questioned. LT, well he's pure class, ask him he'll tell you and his talent is nosediving hard. totally different scenarios.

Amazing how LT wasn't truthful to Schefter.

Per Schefter and ESPN: LT to the Jets is DONE. 2 year deal.

Classy organization gets classier.
