I think Blount's trangression was a micro-second mistake, with that Boise player yakking in his ear. He had a whole year pratically of being looked upon in a bad light, I think for a young kid he has paid his dues.

And we might like some toughness from north and south runners. And he doesn't like to lose.


I can see BB easily looking past that one punch.

Will he look past him going beserk with the Boise fans. He had to be restrained from going in the crowd. Box is right, he shouldn't have played again.

Yep, Mankins retaliated for Ekuban stomping/standing on his hand, and Blount punched a Boise State player, some of his teammates, and looked like he took a shot at stadium security too - I can see the parallel right away. :ugh:

And one was during the first quarter of a game, causing a 15 yard penalty and an ejection. By a 24(?)-year old professional.

One was post-game by a 20-year-old college student.

Which was worse? Which action hurt the team more?

Well golly, since you out it that way, losing your starting RB for the season can't compare to the immense damage of losing a starting LG for 3/4 of a game.

Judging by the excellent season by his backup, it seems to me Blount only hurt himself. And the Boise State player. The team suspended him...not the conference. So it's hard to make the claim that he hurt the team by his future absence. It was a gross over-reaction, I thought at the time.

Football is a violently emotional game. Stuff like this happens. If Blount is hanging around in the middle rounds, I wouldn't hesitate to draft him.
