Just incase you didn't know, it wasn't Polian who literally interpreted the new rules.

First off, I'd like to teach you something. A rule wasn't changed or made after the Patriots cheap ways. The rule was re-enforced. Learn to read, educate yourself on the game of football, then come back to me with the earth shattering nonsense coming out of your mouth.

They didn't take away the privilege to let players "play". Everybody outside of New England knew what they were doing. Willie McGinist admitted what they were doing. Their method of play was to hold, grab, and do whatever they need to receivers to stop them from getting separation.

The infamous picture of Pollard being rung up on that 4th down in the 2003 AFC Championship game was the icing on the cake. The Patriots wouldn't even let WRs run their routes. You actually think the personnel you had in 2001 was good enough to stop the greatest show on turf?

Why do you think Ty Law led the league in pass interferences when he arrived in New York? Because he couldn't do what he did in New England for years that made him this "elite" corner.

It's one thing to play past the rules a bit. The rule was re-enforced by the league (not Polian) after further review and seeing what the Patriots did in 2003. NFL Network had a damn segment on the thing, you hear the embarrassment in the radio commentary they were showing to you as they show that last drive effort by the Colts. The Patriots bent the rules too far, and they knew it. McGinist knew it too.

Name the games where a phantom P.I. was put out there. Funny, we wouldn't even have a dynasty if it weren't for Walt Coleman's horrific call in 2001, and you want to talk about referees? You wouldn't be on this forum, on this bandwagon, or a fan of this team if Coleman didn't make that call.

The games this year where a "phantom" P.I. was called was in the second Texans game on Pierre Garcon. That was reviewed by the VP of officiating, otherwise you're reaching to your ass for excuses because those two interferences on Saturday were blatant interferences. Just because they called them in favor of the Colts on Saturday doesn't mean they were phantom or fake.

I already know what your reply is going to be. "Why are you here", or "why are you making excuses?". Expecting a logical retaliation from you is nearly impossible - enjoy the rest of the playoffs.

The refs cheat for the colts. It's not just us pats fans that say it. Look around, its obvious. Dont be mad about it though, it helps you "win" games.

It's exactly what pretty much every fanbase in the league said about the Pats from the time of the tuck rule through about '05, also.

Was there any truth to it then?

Probably about as much as there is to the Colts perception now. Every time an official throws a flag that's favorable to the Colts now, it's because Polian paid them off (and not, for instance, because Ray Lewis actually hit the receiver's helmet with his helmet, or because the defender actually pushed Reggie Wayne).

No, I dont think the Pats are a threat in the NFL any more, well not this season anyway. Have to wait and see next seson though.

The only reason I bring it up is because someone mentioned that seeing the Colts are now in contention to win the SB, there have been new members coming on to this forum to go against what our members are saying about the Colts.

Just on that basis it seems that Colt fans still think that the Pats are a threat.

Peyton Manning's SB legacy will end just like Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson, one hit wonder.

Then as the passing game continues to evolve all of the regular season records he looks to set will eventually be easily surpassed.

That sounds about right. jhalor (and possibly fball) is a good example of that...

Why are there a bunch of Colts fans on this board? Don't you have some Jets fans to harass?

I was wondering the same thing about the Green Beans fans.

I guess us Pats fans are just more talented debaters than the rest of the league

Nah, they're just desperate for our approval.

Saints over Colts in the SB
If you were here in NJ/NY and had to listen to WFAN and the rest of these idiots all over Rex ryans balls you would be with me on this one lol, I suppose its the opposite for those living in the Indy area.

lmao, wow. The fact you actually believe the rule was just re-enforced is pretty sad. It's pretty easy to see the rule was changed. Are you one of those people that believed **** Cheney when he said waterboarding was just "enhanced interrogation"? lol

Why do you think Ty Law led the league in pass interferences when he arrived in New York? Because he couldn't do what he did in New England for years that made him this "elite" corner.
Seriously? Are you that dumb? Law was in his prime when he was a Patriot. Of course his play is going to decline when he got older. Law was still a good corner in 2004 (so after the rule change) before he got injured. Got any more theories?

The rule was "re-enforced" because of the outcry from the Colts. Wasn't Polian on the Competition Committee in 2003 too? Go figure.

Hilarious, talking down to me because I live in Canada. I'm a Pats fan through and through, you dumbass. It has nothing to do with becoming a dynasty. I don't live in New England, so that makes me a bandwagoner? **** off.

Take off the blinders buddy. It's amazing that fans from other teams (on different forums to boot) have said the exact same thing. The Colts get aided by officiating more than other team in the NFL. Don't even try to dispute this.

As for examples, I'm not going to go game-by-game, but here's a couple for you from playoff games.

2005 Divisional: a Colt clearly fumbles, Polamalu recovers it. Somehow the play is overturned, giving the Colts a chance to tie the game up

2006 AFC Championship: Ellis Hobbs is flagged for faceguarding in the endzone. That was not a rule and the NFL later admitted it was a terrible call. The ball gets moved to the 1 and the Colts tie the game on the next play.

If you want one from this year aside from the Texans game, go look at Bethea's interception in the endzone at the end of the first half against the Cardinals. He grabs Boldin, pulls him back a yard, and catches the ball.

Like I said, I try not to watch Colts games because it's the same **** every game.

I already know what your reply is going to be. "Why are you here", or "why are you making excuses?". Expecting a logical retaliation from you is nearly impossible - enjoy the rest of the playoffs.
How did I do?

You're on a rival message board defending every knock on the Colts. What does that say about you?

A vikings-colts superbowl would be great. I'd love to see jared allen annihilate peyton.

This is too easy.....J..E..T..S....JETS..JETS...JETS!!!!

From a Patriot point of view....I would rather see the Colts and Polian fall flat on their faces....although I respect Manning and the Colts much more than I respect the Jesters....

If the Colts win....once again we will see months of Manning ball washing...don't want it.

If the Jesters win......they get their hopes sky high for a championship....the Saints will destroy them I think.....and the loss will feel so much sweeter to me.....the start of another 40 years of futility....

A NO-BRAINER, jets jets jets. WHy would any Pats fan want that goofie horsey and his arena league colleagues to win another super bowl. Their boring ass slant after slant after slant offense in that contrived thing mistakenly referred to as a football field ruins the game of football. Not to mention, many peolple consider the colts to have been more successful this decade.

Is that a fact or some ridiclous conjecture? Are you privy to other teams fanbases and message boards to know that it isnt just Pats fans and/or rival teams?

If you Google "nfl bad pass interference call" and "nfl pass interference call", yes the COlts are mentioned, by Pats fans, and among the main 30 results are numerous mentions of other teams/fanbases who are livid about some call some other team got (none of which are the Colts) that was awful and how they "should've won".

Face it folks, the Colts are very good and they're one of the Pats biggest rivals. So people around here sling mud. It's expected, but its hardly league wide sentiment.

Get over it.

Tough choice. Two teams that I never want to see win. I went with the Jets, hoping that they get blown out in the Super Bowl.

What I really want to see, though, is some over-the-top, borderline delusional trash talk out of Ryan this week. Stuff like:

  • Sanchez is a better QB than Manning
  • The Jets would have beaten the Colts in the regular season even if they didn't pull their starters
  • Manning was lucky to leave that game when he did, because the Jets were just about to turn up the pressure
  • The Colts are afraid of the Jets

Ryan has run his mouth since the day he was hired. I'll be disappointed if he decides to be bashful now. Go for it, Rex. Have Fireman Ed open and close every press conference and interview with the J-e-t-s chant. Wear one of Namath's old fur coats while coaching the game on Sunday. You've got nothing to lose, except the AFCCG.

This all comes down to that fat azzed, blubbering, hot dog slobbering ,loud mouthed, d-bag coach of this lucky a**ed football team. I hate this ignorant mother more than anyone in the game right now. Pulling hard 4 colts....f the Jests!!

I want the Jets in the "Karma is a *****"-bowl. Rex Ryan on the podium in Indianapolis saying: "Thank You Colts, we´ll win the SuperBowl for you" would kill every Colts fan out there.

Hmmm.... How about googling "nfl pass interference bad call"?

My search yielded this: Pereira: pass interference call on Reeves 'not a good call'

Am I going to keep going? Nope. Because I already know the answer and I have far better things to do with my time. We are NOT the only team to get screwed on calls (PI or otherwise) involving the Colts.
