Re: Edelman has broken arm

Julian Edelman-WR-Patriots Oct. 20 - 8:48 pm et

According to the Boston Herald, Patriots rookie receiver Julian Edelman is out indefinitely with a broken arm.
It's a season-threatening injury for the college quarterback-turned-NFL slot receiver. Edelman was coming off his second most productive game of the season -- a six-catch, 43-yard outing in Sunday's blowout of Tennessee.

Re: Edelman has broken arm

Oh no, this is terrible news.

Still no mention by Reiss, the Globe or even PFT yet. Hmmm. I think I'll just pretend I didn't see this until it appears in at least one of those other sources. Yeah, that's the ticket...feeling better already! :singing:

Um.....isn't the Herald the rag that "broke" the walk-thru story??? Yah---- I'll beleive this when Mike Reiss and/or Schefter report it. Just checked Twitter - nadda.

Re: Edelman has broken arm

Merge?

(Though in case the merge doesn't happen, note that no other outlet is reporting this.)

Re: Edelman has broken arm

This sucks! Is he out for the year then? He had such a promising start.

so let me get this right, we've had to suffer:

Mayo was out 4 weeks with a sprained mcl
Fred Taylor out for season(ankle surgery)
Sammy Morris out for season(serious knee injury, I'm assuming ACL)
Julian Edelman--broken arm(out for 5-7 weeks)
Ben Watson--concussion, not sure of his return
Wes Welker--was out with two week knee injury

We are not even at the midway point of the season!

Re: Edelman has broken arm

my thread needs to stay because it is to the point w/ an article.

DON'T MERGE IT. it is surprising ppl already.

All we can be happy about that it is Welker Jr who has the Broken arm and not Welker.

big loss thou.

That's not all that bad. No-one out for the year yet, I wouldn't assume that about Fred or Sammy. As injuries go it's been an alright season so far (although you did forget Matt Light).

As opposed to the thread with the same title but which actually links to the Herald site in the original post?

Yeah, this one is totally different.

Edit: Looks like the merge happened as I was posting.

BB has said he doesn't yet think anyone on offense is seriously injured enough to need to go on IR.

It got moved booooooo :enranged::enranged::enranged:

Looks like it'll be the Aiken, Nunn, and Tate show once Brady reads past Moss and Welker.

Although, frankly, if the Brady from last week--the on-target Brady, the Brady of 2007--is finally back, it really won't matter if we have Clay Aiken, the Flying Nunn, and Jessica Tate at WR. (Bonus points if you're old enough to remember "Soap".)
