Browns wanting Mangena's head already

Frankly I'm enjoying watching Mangini flounder. At first I felt bad for Browns fans but most of them were so clueless and were blindly supportive of Mangini I find it tough to feel sympathy now.

Uh...c'mon Joe...don't insult my boy Flounder like that...

Sucks because I otherwise don't mind the Browns, but I hate any team that employs that piece of rat excrement. Calling him a rat is insulting to rats.

I share your feelings for the Browns - good fans and good history (and they canned Belichick before becoming the Cravens - the Pats owe them big for that).

Given Mangini's collapse last season, I was surprised the Browns hired him. I would be surprised if the Browns do not give him a second season regardless of what happens in his first season because (1) it means the organization screwed up by hiring him in the first place and (2) he didn't have time to rebuild the team to win, and that arguably takes a down year (I don't believe that will happen based on the player transactions this year, but it's a theory).

I still believe McDaniels may end up on the streets first, even with the current praise. The Donkeys could be 3-3 after 3 more games, and then we see what they are really made of. If the Broncos go sub-.500 after the internal strife this year, and with Cowher and Holmgren out there and available, I would be less surprised by McDaniels getting the boot for one of them. That outcome isn't reasonable as I would take McDaniels as a coach over Mangini any day, it is just my prediction given the teams they both went to as head coach.

Mangini hasn't learned a thing since his departure from the Pats. He screwed up the Jets and is doing it again in Cleveland. This is a coach that is despised by most of his players. The ultimate cooler.

Hey guys.. You know what I just realized... We should get Tom Jackson to Cleveland.. Then his infamous statement would be apropos.

"They hate their coach"

But he's a genius... just ask the Jets fans.

mangina lost this team in preseason....they really do hate him

I am with ya on this. I Rooted for them for their fans and they came so close to beating the Donkies in those back-back championship games in what seems like ages ago now.
Can't root for them any more. Hope the Chifes turn it around a it. They have great fans as well.

Mangini deserves everything he gets. I wish they put in the article that along with everything else he's done wrong, he bit (off and tried to chew and spit out) the hand that fed him and brought him along in the NFL ranks (although it wouldn't do for a member of the media to blame Tubby Ratfink instead of BB for spygate). Although I feel bad for Browns fans, I remember being amazed when they hired him. I thought, like most others here did, that he would never get another head coaching job. Looks like that will be true after the Browns stop. Too bad (and shame on them) that they didn't figure it out beforehand.
