Why does Owens say "I think that Belichick knew with me coming to the Bills he had to find somebody to check me, so he went out and acquired him"? Correct me if I am wrong, but the Pats brought Springs in to Foxboro before Buffalo brought Owens in to Orchard Park, and signed Springs to a contract before the Bills signed Owens.

I wouldn't assume that he is being counted on to stop Owens.

yeah, I remember a couple years ago when owens loomed large on the schedule.

I don't think that he is being counted on to stop Owens. I just worry about him when he might be lined up against any starting wide receiver, especially Owens. I'm not knocking the man, but there are some question marks about his role in the defense and his potential effectiveness.

It's just too fellas, injured in the preseason, going up against each other. I predict T.O. reinjures his toe at some point in the game. Those toes are difficult to get well. Especially the one that went to the market.

So would you prefer he have told Chris to go screw instead of answering his question? Is that what you're saying? "I don't know anything about the guy I've played against a thousand times now, because I've been in the tub"?
