I no he doesn't have ideal length to play DE in a 34 but he is only one inch shorter that Warren, he does have 15 or maybe 20 lbs on Warren and Seymour. A lot of people including myself have thought he was drafted to back up or even replace Wilfork after this year, but there is a chance he was drafted to take over for Seymour since imo hes more likely to go then Vince.

He's slow for a tackle.

This guy is slower than slow. I think he ran like a 5.3 or 5.5 at the combine. He will be a NT and that's it.

That would be nice if Brace could play DE but it will never happen; he's too slow.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it, but he's kind of slow.

yea, just to clarify....hes slow....

he was like the second to last fastest guy in the combine slow....

but honeslty, why is that important for our systems DE's? were not Indy where we send are DE's after the QB and they have to get their quick....for our DE's they stay there at first, fill up the hole, shut down a run if its coming their way....and if it isnt, then our current DE's dont get much rpessure anyways, so why not?

i think Brace at DE is a possibility, he could collapse the pocket when other team passes....just wouldnt be able to chase the QB

Sounds logical to me, but then again i don't know what i'm talking about.

lol, honestly, im no expert....just using little bit of logic here!

in the morn ill prob be set str8t by the knowledgle guys

He's there in case the Wilfork deal collapses. No more, no less...

You have to be kidding. Seymour is pretty darned athletic. We'll ne missing a lot if we go from an athletic nose to Brace, but we might have to. At least there will always be play up the middle.

Putting a statue at one of the ends when we only have 3 linemen? We might as well give the other team a Canadian field to work with.

Why do you think we spent 3 #1 picks on the line? If we lose Seymour, we'll have to get smaller until we can draft a real replacement.

If Brace replaced Seymour, it would go like this: NT Brace, LE Wilfork, RE Warren... I'm sorry that makes me laugh.

He's a backup NT.

Yes he is, and a backup NT has value. He's going to need to learn the position in the first place, so everybody needs to relax.

They have 2 or 3 guys on their roster now who could step in at end before a slow out of position rookie.

Just like a 2nd string RB, he doesn't need to start to make a big difference. If he is a quality starter, he will make an even better backup throughout his rookie contract.

The question is, is he too fast to be a nose tackle.

The only thing i learned from this thread, is that he's reeeeeally slow

Jeez, I didn't even pick up on that. You must be some kind of Private **** to be able to detect that.

I think he might be too slow for DE...and there are others that can fill in there who are more suited for that in a 3-4 alignment. But teh ONLY reason he was drafted because of WIlfork?? NOT at all. The team has not had a similar type NT backup, really since VW's rookie year...Traylor. Vince himself had wanted Raji...why?? Because having him out and a backup in will make him more effective when in...less worn out. THAT is quite important later in a close game when the D is a bit worn down. THAT is very important. That they also have Pryor is also good as having a 3rd NT is something they ALSO have not had since that year...Ethan Kelly. And if he had controlled his weight problem, might have been a good backup,
