Who's better at picking groceries??

Parcells is a best when it comes to the draft. Among thoes you mentioned ill throw another name out their, DeMarcus ware. Arguably the best Defensive player in the NFL today was drafted by Parcells. I think what makes Parcells so good is that he is sucsessfull almost everywhere he goes. BB holds his own as well.

Parcells track record since the Patriots is mediocre. Particularly when you look at the Jets and Cowboys. When given 4 first round picks, I'd say its extremely hard to screw up a draft.

Drafts shouldn't be based solely on the top pick. That's the one that's supposed to be a gimmie.. Its the rest of the draft.

The GM out in San Diego, based on talent, has out done both Parcells and BB in terms of drafting. But drafts aren't just about the talent either. Its about what comes of them. And, I'd say that Belichick, over the long term, is a better evaluator. Not to mention that BB isn't a mercenary like Parcells is. Since the Giants, Parcells hasn't been any place for more than 4 years. The Jets have been on a roller coaster since Parcells got there. The Cowboys are a mess. And the Phins have had one good year.

Parcells has had a more up and down track record in recent years. He is good at picking up a team from the wreckage, but hasn't managed to sustain a high level of talent through the draft. He's picked some dissapointing players recently; Marcus Spears, Kevin Burnett, Bobby Carpenter, etc.

Let's give some credit to the organization he was picking for, they played into those decisions at one point or another.

This question is purely about picking up players via the draft.

BB has been here long enough, and I still believe Parcells is the better evaluator of draft talent.

BB has not come even close to matching the the 1995 Parcells draft, Ty Law, Ted Johnson, Curtis Martin, Dave Wohlabaugh.

Discuss,,

Parcells; and since 2006, it's...not...even...close. Period.

BB is the+ winner by a country mile. He has found an UDFA virtually every year he has been here, to add to a Superbowl quality team. There are 11 Pats UDFAs on the roster.

He also knows when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.

Draft nebishes here will always speak of the "unproductive 2007 draft" and the waste of the 2nd, 4th and 7th picks in that draft to acquire... ONLY a future HOF WR; and ALSO a pro-bowl slot WR too.

They actually think the only talent pool is the collegiate one.:snob:
