From Twitter:

The #Patriots will send their 1st of four 3rd round picks (73) to JAX in exchange for 2010 2nd rd pick and a 7th round pick this year (232).

Great move.

With the Pats landing Brace, I knew that Knighton wasn't on their board anymore.

I go to an SEC school and all, so this may be a "homer" pick, but I think the Pats should take a chance on Cornelius Ingram if he's still on the board late in this draft. He's a WR/TE hybrid who is very athletic. I'm just throwing it out there.

This is turning out to be an amazing draft for us and still 3 x 3rd round picks left

But they don't measure productivity strictly by stats. Stats don't show how many guys were blocking you during the season. Stats don't show how many blockers you tied up to allow the LB behind you to make a play. Stats don't show you blocking downfield on a screen play. Stats don't show you making the cut block to buy your QB the time to complete the pass for the critical 1st down.

When I say productivity, I also mean players that don't play to their potential. Guys that take too many plays off, etc. Productivity may be the wrong word...

That is a great move.

Glad that they got more ammo to move around this year.

Belichick did run a private workout with him.

Pats get a 2010 2nd round pick for their 2009 3rd. Excellent. That's the kind of move I was wanting yesterday.

What # is our next pick?

J D Sal

I would like to see at least 1 more of these 3rd's dealt for a 2010 2nd rounder.

LOVE IT!!!

:eat3::bricks::woohoo:

It'll make next offseason so much more fun. And the Jags could really suck.

Good deal. We could use another #7. (just kidding).

What an awesome move. You go BB.

Wow Greene, Jason Williams, and Gilbert got scooped up awful quick in the 3rd. And I laugh when one of the mediots said 'who' when the Cowboys picked JWilliams. The kid has opened eyes to anyone who has been paying attention to the offseason workouts.
