Maualuga at 24 and Ayers at 11 would be shocking if not impossible

Maualuga will go before Cushing,Maualuga is a better prospect IMO and Ayers is a solid player but not a top 12 pick,Ayers could last till 25 or later

Maybin will be selected before Ayers and could end up in Buffalo if they want a DE

Otherwise all in all a mock draft worthy of a B+

i know what you are saying....however, its very difficult to find players to come into our system who are going to start right away. all you can do is take a player who you think has the ability to come into the league and make an impact. i dont know how many players this year are going to come into the league and start and make an immediate impact. i think thats something you have to consider.

I expect most to follow a path similar to Merriweather. Sit for a year while playing ST and in some sub packages, then start at some point in year two.

The wild card is Crable. Coming out of college he had the length, strength and some speed, but a very narrow base. Where on the development grid does he start? At the bottom like a true rookie or as a second year player like Merriweather last season, or somewhere in between? A big year two leap by Crable fills a need. I doubt BB has any idea how mucg Crable has advanced at this point. Crable should be a must watch come TC later this year.

while i think crable was a bit stiff, and dont know if he can ever make the transition into a 3-4 OLB, because he looks like a 3-4 DE. from my eyes, it didnt appear as if he had the speed and agility to play OLB nor the strength and length to play DE.
HOWEVER, to me, theres something to be said about a player's ability to make plays. i know it was preseason, but crable made plays. there is always room for players like that. i hope crable was able to learn a lot and improve his physical abilities and make a difference for us

Amen my Brother! I have always considered Woods and Redd as having a low ceiling, but higher than JAG's.

Crable on the other hand, has shown playmaking ability in college and some in the last preseason. You can't teach play making but all teams desire it, especially if the play maker does not hurt you in other areas.
When the Pats drafted Crable, I thought he could grow into a play maker on the outside.

I do think that after a year with Woicik, he will be bigger and stronger, but he will always have a narrow base.

No matter how much stronger they get, or how much film they watch. It all comes down to what they do on the field. BB does not have a long history of trusting the LBer spots to young guys, so when he does take them high, it tells me that he has seen something in them.
