The Official 'Trade Brady' Debate Thread - Do Not Start Another One

Re: Does Pioli's hiring make KC a potential suitor for Brady?

If I merge this with the other thread then that brings that thread back to the top of the board. I don't think we want that and this thread is being treated as the farce that it is, so let the sleeping do lie is my opinion.

Then let's send it to the practice squad.

Re: Does Pioli's hiring make KC a potential suitor for Brady?

Congratulations, you've gone from a respected, contributing poster to a complete troll obsessed with the singularly most absurd idea ever.

Yeah, because belichick has never got rid of an entrenched probowl level qb....

It probably wont happen, but if you don't think its being mulled over in foxboro, you don't understand the patriots

I hope you aren't comparing Bledsoe and Kosar to . . . Brady.

Bledsoe was pretty good before he got hurt. Not as good as Brady, but good. The precedent is there.

Re: Does Pioli's hiring make KC a potential suitor for Brady?

We will see in another couple months just how important Pioli was to this organization. Truthfully the last few years deep into these drafts have been maybe slightly above horrible, so i really don't think they have very far to fall if they do. Hitting on a first round pick is not really that difficult to do, and beyond the first day the patriots drafts have been lack luster to put it lightly.

No denying he helped build a winner here, but it remains to be seen if he can do it without Bill, and i guess vice verse. Though if i could only keep one of the two here, well then the right one took off IMO. It's going to be a really bad day when Bill decides to either hang it up or go to another team though.

I had to chuckle watching the America's Game Film on the 2001 Pats when they were asking people who should play the Superbowl. One girl said "Bledsoe, because he's just a better QB".

Gotta love hindsight, but I wonder how many people had the same feeling as that back then.

If Cassel showed us something we're unsure of because of the talent around him, but the coaches deem to be the real thing, there are a lot of possible reasons Bill et al need too at least mull it over - wear & tear, age, mobility, etc, not being the only considerations.

Bledsoe was above average. Brady is a first ballot HoFer.

The Patriots 5-11 then 0-2 with Bledsoe and Belichick. Brady went in and they were 11-3 in the regular season then won the SB.

1+1 = 2

Re: Does Pioli's hiring make KC a potential suitor for Brady?

I though Thigpen was ok as a temporary starter but there's no way you build a future around him. With the Chiefs picking 3rd in this year's draft, several mocks have them taking Sam Bradford. There will be several high-end pass rushers and offensive linemen available to them at that spot, could they be a mover for Brady, should he be available for Brady?
this thread should have been posted on THE FIRST OF APRIL :disagreement:

Re: Does Pioli's hiring make KC a potential suitor for Brady?

The Patriots should just trade Brady and call it a day. The entire fan base wants him out of town anyway. Besides, Cassel is more mobil than Brady. It's beneficial to the OL. Send the Gimpy QB some place else.

The reason Ian started a unified trade Brady thread is b/c the likelihood of pulling off a deal including him and then signing Cassel to a huge contract is about as realistic as a Jason Statham movie. Trading Cassel is a very real probability for this offseason, and having a couple threads on it isn't outrageous.

Re: Does Pioli's hiring make KC a potential suitor for Brady?

another great thread from patsfans.com forum

But at least it isn't an intelligent & interesting thread about *another* team. Then it would have to be moved.

And it would be about as pulse-pounding, though the ending might be a lot like Crank...

LOL (10 char)

Re: Does Pioli's hiring make KC a potential suitor for Brady?

Hehe, maybe. Hope they're paying him well, a seafood dinner's gonna be a titch more expensive in Kansas City.

Did you see the place the Chiefs threw in to sweeten the pot, btw?

Hate to nitpick, but the Chefs are in Kansas City, Missouri. Auntie M's place was in Kansas. Aw, what the hell, the two KCs are just across the river from each other. Real innovative in city naming out that way, huh?

Oh, I know, but even Mangini could ride a bicycle that far.

Re: Does Pioli's hiring make KC a potential suitor for Brady?

are we seriously discussing this?

allright, lets see here

u guys want for the Pats to get rid of arguably the best QB to ever play the game.....for a guy that weve only see play a season since high school...

ill end right there

Jim Brown is arguable the best RB to ever play in the league. Maybe Cleveland should sign him up. I'm pro Brady, but no sane person will put all their eggs into the "past performance dictates future results" basket.

Brady is injured, has now not played football in almost a year, longer come mini-camp, and is five years older than Cassel. I hope Brady comes back and we whip a ton of a$s, but to just assume he's the guy in 2009 cuz he was awesome in 2007 isn't 100% sober judgment either.

Don't waste your time buddy. Matt Cassel is our savior. Just get on the bandwagon and don't waste your time arguing. What happens if Cassel is injured? I guess he'll get the trash treatment too.

Re: Does Pioli's hiring make KC a potential suitor for Brady?

WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!!!!

Repeat after me...

TOM BRADY IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

How about showing some damn loyalty already, and at least act like you know what he is all about. ************ this gets annoying.

Should this be merged into the "Trade Brady" thread?
