Interesting scheduling quirk [merged]

pitt,@seattle,@oak all 3 teams we play/played all have 10 days to prepare for the pats.

That is disporportionate. I checked the league master schedule and there are nine thursday games this season, including on Thanksgiving. So that means that 18 teams had to face an opponent with ten days rest. For any one team to be in that position three of those 18 times is wrong.

I know that drawing up the NFL schedule is a nightmare and I know that it takes a complex, thousand-line-plus logistics program and almost a supercomputer to come up with the schedule, but it seems like "Team plays no more than one game against an opponent with ten days rest" should be one of the parameters in that program.

But, I guess that makes me just another paranoid Pats fan who thinks that the league wanted to level the playing field after we went 16--0.

Re: Interesting scheduling quirk

the pats d sucks, hasselback could have a field day against the likes of hobbs ,oneal, whilhite, and richardson

Ya know what... I don't think this reply had anything to do with my post.

Well, the way the Raiders played tonight, they may need another three weeks to prepare for any team. At least I don't think we have to worry too much about JaMarcus Russell or Andrew Walter picking apart the Pats' secondary.

Russell got hurt and didn't play much of the second half. Not sure if that's good or bad (who is worse, Russell or Walter?).
