This is 2002 redux with the hated Jets winning the AFCE.

Afterwards, the Pats won 2 SBs.

Uh-oh! I just realized I have the same poll answer as Wendy, Garbanza, patsgo, NEPatriot et. al. Does that mean I'm gonna be banned?

Pats still have a shot at being the #2 seed.

Steps to AFC home-field advantage
1) Patriots win out (4-0)
2) Jets lose vs. Dolphins or Bills
3) Steelers finish 2-2 (vs Cowboys, @ Ravens, @ Titans, vs Browns)

Not a stretch at all, for me at least.

Disco, you need to add a fourth and fifth item for that really rare possibility.

4) Ravens finish 2-2 (10-6). I am guessing here but I think Ravens have the tiebreaker over the Pats if they are tied at 11-5. Clearly the Ravens win out then they have a higher record at 12-4.

5) Dolphins finish 3-1. Dolphins have the tiebreaker over the Pats.
6) Correction, Pittsburgh has to finish 1-3 (10-6). They clearly have the tiebreaker over the Pats.

To be honest, left the Ravens/Dolphins out because I don't see either of them finishing with better records than the ones you posted.

Stupid math on Pittsburgh there though! Yeah, don't see them going 1-3.
